Omari / Hikki au pitch and stuff

So basically, I'm probably (at least going to try to) make an Omari / Omori swap au where the ages of most of the characters are swapped. Other elements within the universe will be swapped as well; Headspace will also change more to reflect Mari's character (Purples are more pinkish than blue, summer outfits instead of pjs, sunset instead of night sky, clouds in different shapes instead of constellations, inspired by that canceled Hikki mod)

Trying my best to make this au different from the other au's with a similar premise like: #Neon's reverse au or #little mari AU and I am trying my best to come up with something unique for the incident/the truth, not wanting it to just be Mari pushing Sunny down the stairs and Hero or Aubrey seeing it or something.

Anyway, yeah that is my pitch if u guys have any ideas for it, please tell me, I'll really help a lot especially sense I'm still figuring things out. Maybe some other time I'll tell you guys some more ideas I have for this n stuff.

Been re thinking about ageswap omori au,,, how would adult Sunny react???? ,,, Yea not fully an adult, being at 15 to cause an accidental murder,, but who would even help him? His mother? i've updated the refs for the Little Mari AU! nothing has changed aside from new art and a rewritten summary down below.

the general premise of this AU is an ageswap between mari/hero and sunny/kel. on the day of mari and sunny's recital, aubrey witnesses a fight between the siblings and sunny's accidental death. sunny's cause of death and aubrey's choice of cover-up are the same as canon. 

the ships in this AU are sunkel, heromari, and photobomb. sunny and kel started dating when they were ~13, though they never revealed their relationship to the kids. hero and mari have unresolved feelings that were only starting to be explored before sunny's death. 

shortly after sunny's death, mari finds herself in sunny's iteration of headspace. like canon, sunny has been exploring headspace since he was very young. everyone's awareness of it varies, but the only ones who know the full extent of its existence is mari and kel. headspace in this AU is based on how i imagine it was in canon before mari's death (ie everyone having purple hair in honor of her, mari and basil not wearing pajamas etc) but with creative liberties due to sunny having longer to expand it and mari's eventual influence. it's important to note mari is not crafting headspace to match what she knows of sunny's version. for reasons that have yet to be revealed, headspace did not have a "true reset" when a new dreamer entered it, which means it is still the very same one sunny would explore.

in headspace, mari takes over her dream world counterpart's role as the save point and, in her eyes, the perfect little sister. eventually, she completely forgets why she found herself in headspace in the first place and what she had been looking for. since her exploration of headspace is limited to her picnic blanket, mari asks sunny's party to help her with her problem. but after a particularly nasty battle, a horrified mari convinces sunny to watch over the picnics instead so he can never get hurt again. 

now leader, mari explores headspace with aubrey, hero, and kel. but each time the party succeeds in their mission, aubrey remembers the truth. she is not banished to black space, but outright erased to the best of mari's ability with her finite control over headspace. as if she had never existed, what is left of aubrey is now the entity referred to as stranger and basil takes the open spot in the party. all the while, an odd girl known as omori wanders the dream world. even odder, she is looking for the very same thing that mari is.

it’s time for ageswap!reigen lore. it’s time

one of Reigen’s stark character motives is to be an Annoying Little Shit. but everyone loves him at this point so it’s alllll good. he has a good heart but just doesn’t know where to go with it at times. he witnessed an exorcism performed by Mob, tracked his office down and barged in to throw salt all over the place as an audition. Mob can’t get rid of him. he didn’t have the heart to and would not succeed even if he tried.

the Reigen fun facts:

he’s a whole inch taller than Mob! 5’4

he’s 14 years old now. joined Mob’s business when he was 11. he helps out with secretarial work and other miscellaneous jobs, and Mob pays him for it. adequately.

he’s gay. it was an abrupt realisation after fanboying over Omori Motoki for. a While

very silver tongued for a fourteen year old. if he were older people would take him more seriously and he’d have much more success with it

hyper-expressive and hyperactive.

quite clueless, but he does try to sympathise and understand wherever it counts.

quite the extrovert. very impulsive. pretty clumsy.

his parents both work so they’re usually not home. sometimes he feels neglected since they don’t have time for his emotional needs most of the time. he knows to be grateful for the material things but wishes that he could be closer to his parents.

he has an older sister who’s 16. they quarrel a lot but they’re mostly over stupid things. they have each others’ backs but his sister is highly suspicious of Mob for whatever reason.

gets into fights in school. sometimes because he gets picked on. sometimes because he accidentally starts one. Mob patches him up a lot.

he spends a lot of time at Mob’s because he LOVES annoying the shit out of him. and also sees him as someone to look up to.

he didn’t have suitable adult role models in early childhood, so doesn’t put much importance on things like his future.

the more pressure he’s under, the more he bullshits. he’s quite good at it. but there’s always a tipping point.

he’s latently psychic, but only just enough to see spirits. to be decided if he ever develops them.

actively tries to steal Mob’s Stompy Boots even though they’re a size too small for him.

has had an intense interest in the paranormal since he was 7 and never grew out of it.

the Go Go Reigen! soundtrack encapsulates him so well btw especially canon Reigen who gave Kenji Kawai the right /lh
