i love love love kate losing respect for gina as their previous 'icon/idol' 👁️ because it's not about, the general personal issues gina might have; kate isn't naive, they obviously expected gina to be different irl and already have a level of understanding of how detrimental fame can be (especially with gina being under the spotlight ever since her teens). so all the drinking, using, irresponsible and reckless behaviours, self-sabotaging, those don't really bother them because they sort of expected the reality behind the curtain to be like that and they can empathize with that. but then they see victoria hurting, and gina persisting in those behaviours and not trying to change, not even for vic's sake, and they just,,,, it changes their view of gina completely to the point where they still of course respect her as an artist but frankly dislike her as a person. all because they can't move on from how they hurt seven and they promised themself they never would again so seeing gina so static about her own relationship issues just bothers them 😭

i can't get out of my mind the moment when beard announces jamie will play for england, and how everyone cheers for him and he's got a big smile on his face. and i see him search for jules, who is beaming and crying and just says "you did it" and there's no surprise in her voice because she knew he would. and he's bear hugging her a second later, because they talked and dreamed about this as kids, about standing on that field together and playing against the world's strongest players and now he's there but she isn't. and he's probably angry about it still, but she keeps telling him how proud she is so he knows it's okay. it's okay and they can be happy and proud and crying together. everything is fine here look away im normal

route 78 which is what i'm calling seven x kate now just be like. you are everyone's clown while i am a clown only for you we are not the same (mutual, derogatory). an unfinished love song scribbled in the lyrics notebook they were gonna write together but seven left before they could add their half. seven pretending they have an infinite tattoo when really it's a number 8 close to their heart, and kate having a dyed streak of hair of seven's favourite colour. kate never writes love songs, all the love songs in the album were written by the others and when asked about it in interviews they'll say it's because they're not really a romantic when really it's because writing about love would mean writing about seven and it still hurts [sad clown honk noises]. *singing in each other's faces with their noses touching and pretending it's a rivalry/competitive thing and not the equivalent of a candlelit dinner*

no because discussing this earlier has me in the feels: the goddam emotional rollercoaster of the book 3 breakfast scene for edith???? LIKE BRO. imagine, having your perception of reality altered completely, getting your absent mother and estranged sister back in your life without having any say in it, having to work with people who openly question your competence and constantly lie or hide information from you, getting kidnapped and almost killed (!) only to find out you are now a target and will likely live in constant danger. plus whatever is going on with adam god what a loser,,,,,,,,,, things are going better in book 3, edith is slowly learning to trust and rely on UB and kiara, but she still hasn't opened up, and she hasn't been able to relax in god knows how long. the breakfast scene is quite literally the first moment in the story where edith gets an actual break. she's at ease, surrounded by people she begrudgingly cares about and who seem to accept her and like her for who she is and want to spend time with her. and as much as she might feel uncomfortable and slightly out of place in the blissfully domestic setting, for a moment she's honestly happy. and then rebecca comes along and the bit of peace edith felt is gone in a split second. the casual mention of rook only makes things worse. going from awkward discomfort to tranquility to happiness, then to tension and anger all in the span of minutes,,,,, like yeah sure rebecca only wants to get closer to her children, but it comes off as so fucking forced, and for her to join them in that moment is just extremely intrusive of edith's space and feelings?? im okay im fine i am normal about the silly vampire dating sim—

realised reblogging stuff that while cal/edith and flavio/sharona, two of my fave ships, technically share a lot of dynamics, they're always on the opposite ends of the spectrum. same concept, different application, VERY Different Vibe. caledith are the "it's not rotten work to me especially if it's you" while sharona took one (1) look at flavio and said "i'll fucking do it but christ alive my dude"
