Official Hero Costumes

Part 1

These are the last hero costumes post Imma make bc I finally know what the hell I'm doing. Most of these apply for both BNHAverse and Giftedverse. Also, if my artist mutuals want to take some creative liberties they can.

Joou Hitsugaya | Splendor

Splendor is a very versatile woman in the sense that she never wears the same hero costume everyday. But one thing they have in common is that they look like designer outfits one could find on the runway.

Joou's most notable costume consists of a white cold shoulder dress with diamonds sewn into it. The dress features slits that allow for easier movement. Her white boots are designer. Her costume also features different pieces of armor such as gauntlets, pauldrons, and more.

Irefumi Hitsugaya | Inkstain

Irefumi's costume sticks to their punk roots and is quite revealing in male hero outfit terms. It consists of a black jean vest with several different pins, spikes, and their hero symbol on the back (they'd go entirely shirtless if it weren't for the restrictions). The vest is always open for easy Quirk use. Furthermore, they also wear red plaid jeans and a pair of black combat boots. They also wear a red domino mask.

Shukara Inoue/Chuso Mejia | Chargeman

Shukara/Chuso has a flair for the dramatic, which is fitting considering he's also a well-known wrestler. His costume is a skintight royal blue catsuit with a deep V neck exposing his chest (boobs out city). The catsuit also features built-in gold shoulder and knee pads as well as fringes of the same color. His boots are the same royal blue color and has jewels in it.

Sorami/Oya Amarai | Stormchaser

Oya/Sorami's costume is simple with a weather reporter motif. Sorami/Oya wears a dark blue bodysuit with shorts, black boots, and clear raincoat. Around her waist is a stylish utility belt that she can also store her umbrella in.

Kagehiko Ankokugai | Hades

Kagehiko's costume is probably one of the most difficult to pinpoint but I'm gonna try my best. His costume consists of a black skintight spandex suit with a white skeletal design, tattered red waist cape with silver chain belts, and black boots. He also wears a dark red cape with skull shaped buttons.

Sakura Ankokugai | Persephone

Sakura's hero costume sticks to her nature theme and is made up of a green bodysuit with short shorts and a pink half skirt attached to it. The skirt is shaped like flower petals. Sakura's bodysuit has floral patterns on it. She wears a pair of brown boots with flowers on them.

Hibana/Donna Maikaru | Superstar

Donna/Hibana's costume definitely encapsulates her 70s theme with a silver 70s style halter top jumpsuit and disco ball patterned roller skates. The jumpsuit is holographic, infused with Superstar's DNA to enhance her Quirk in combat.

Akio/Alan Shingenchi | Demoman

Alan/Akio's costume remains pretty much the same as I had it with just a few minor changes. His costume is fairly simple as it looks like an armored construction worker's uniform. It consists of a sleeveless orange vest with white straps underneath a black shirt, baggy black pants, and orange boots with jackhammer heels on them. He also wears an orange hardhat with a black vizor for eye protection and several pieces of armor of the same color.

I recently learned that luchadors usually keep their masks on unless they're defeated or retiring. The media goes into a frenzy trying to get pics of Shukara without his mask on but fails everytime. The Gladiators also try to catch him unmasked but to no avail.

Sorami is the only person outside Shukara's family that has seen his face unmasked. No one else has seen it except her and eventually Tenki.

BNHA OCs Hero Costumes

Aquamarina

Aomi's hero costume is a sea green, one sleeve dress with white ruffles along the hem and a seashell shaped elbow pad on the sleeve. The skirt is detachable and reveals a shorter dress, which allows for greater mobility. Her utility belt is a string of large pearls that can be opened to hold objects such as weapons, medical tools, and more. She wears a pair of white thigh high boots with her hero name on the sides and gold soles.

Splendor (Redesign)

Okay so I have some thoughts on Splendor's original hero costume. While looking up Emma Frost outfits, I came across one of her most recent ones and really thought that it was something that Splendor would wear herself. Something simple yet makes her standout without having to reveal any part of her body.

Her new "main" hero outfit consists of a white catsuit with gold lining that's shaped like diamonds, a short white cape with a fur collar, and white knee high boots with diamonds.

Stormchaser

Despite having the nickname of weather princess, Sorami looks like a weather reporter in her hero costume. It consists of a yellow raincoat with a dark blue interior, black jumpsuit, and black boots.

Splendor

Joou is a businesswoman, fashion designer, and celebrity jeweler. An heir to her father's company and family's jewelry empire, her pieces have been worn by some of the most famous people in the world.

Phoenix Knight

Lancelot would be a lawyer and litigator, specifically working cases involving children. He works in the family law department at Minamoto Law, LLC.

Stormchaser

Sorami works as a weatherwoman and meteorologist at a local news station. In her early days she used to be an investigative journalist but retired to take on her current position.

Inkstain

Irefumi continues to lead their band Black Moon. Even though his duties as a hero will sometimes conflict with concerts and live performances, he'll never miss one.

Persephone

Sakura is the current CEO of Yamaniwa Botanicals, a company that specializes in environmentally friendly plant-based products such as soaps, air fresheners, etc.

Hades

Kagehiko is a mortician and works at a funeral home not too far from him and Sakura's home. Sometimes he helps out at his sister's bar.

Chargeman

Chuso (Shukara) is still a wrestler, but is also a personal trainer. He mainly stays at home with Tenki since he can do his classes online. At night he goes to his matches.

Demoman

Alan (Akio) works as a construction worker, only now he's full-time. Mans will sleep for like three hours and have the energy to build like 20 houses just from that amount of sleep.

Stormwatch Tower

Stormwatch Tower is a hero agency in the universe of The Heroes. It was founded, owned, and ran by Stormchaser and is her main base of operations. It is located in Kobe near Sannomiya.

Description

Unlike most hero agencies that look like regular office buildings, Stormwatch Tower looks like an observatory, complete with a telescope. Part of it is also a weather/astrology museum. The front doors are revolving, making for quite the entrance into work. Despite its unique structure, the building is very spacious and quite large.

The building has eight floors. On the first floor is the check in where agency workers sign in and museum visitors come to receive their tickets as well as offices for the rest of the agency workers (PR team, manager, etc) as well as museum curators.

The second floor is the museum. Originally, Stormchaser wanted to use the floor as a training area for her sidekicks but decided against it when she realized it would cause too much disturbance to the front desk clerk. After a talk with her PR team, she made it a museum to boost her reputation and as well as her popularity with the Kobe locals.

The third floor is the main attraction of the building: the telescope. A hatch on the roof will open when the telescope is activated. It is especially a sight at night. Stormchaser, her sidekicks, and the heroes who work under her also use the telescope when looking for escaped villains or monitoring suspicious activity from afar.

The rest of the floors are for the heroes and agency workers. The third floor is a gym and lounge area where the sidekicks, heroes, and office workers can either get a good workout or relax after a long day of work.

The fourth floor contains both the locker room and clinic. Pretty self explanatory.

The fifth floor is the lunchroom. Also pretty self explanatory.

The sixth, seventh, and eighth floors are the hero offices. Sixth floor is the floor where the offices of the individual heroes signed under Stormchaser. Seventh floor is where the sidekicks' offices are located. And finally the eighth floor is Stormchaser's personal office.

Members

Sorami Inoue | Stormchaser

The owner and leader of Stormwatch Tower. She started the agency after she leaves her brother SolFlare and doesn't renew her contract with him. Thanks to those years and being the "weather princess" to her brother's "sun prince", she had a lot of star power and was able to graduate to a Pro Hero early.

Agwè Hayes | Cyclone: A member of the Stormclouds, Stormchaser's sidekick group. Born and raised in Haiti, he grew up hearing stories of the urban legend Hurricanechaser and was inspired to pursue heroics because of her.

Tempest Shimizu | Tempest: Another member of the Stormclouds. They are the rogue of the group in that they prioritize stealth which is ironic because of their Quirk. When Stormchaser is not around, they are the unofficial leader of the team.

Stormi Miyashita | Squall: The cryptid of the Stormclouds. It is unknown how she came to join the group, but the public presumes it was because of a private study.

Zuriñe Haru | Forecast: Zuriñe is indeed a member of the Stormclouds. While not a field agent, she still plays an important role as she helps the others track down villains from the safety of the agency. Think of her as Oracle.

Ichiko Mizutani: Stormchaser's business manager both in and outside of heroics. She is both literally and figuratively the oldest member of the agency, having been with Stormchaser since she worked under her brother. Despite having worked with many a Pro Hero, Stormchaser seems to be her favorite since she hasn't had to clean up any messes from her (aka scandals and stuff).

Raikumo Kumosuku | Stratoshock: A Pro Hero signed under Stormwatch. She is actually one of Sorami's cousins and signed under her so she could get a better understanding of heroics (and also develop social skills at the behest of her mother).

Passion Mwzano: An intern for the agency. She is a young U.A. student and is very happy to be working under Stormchaser since they have the same power.

Design notes:

Her hair is now dark blue, a mix of her dad's blue hair and her mom's black hair.

Personality: Nurturing and kind, on and off the battlefield Sorami is always willing to lend a helping hand hence why she often hosts charity events and other fundraisers. She displays a motherly disposition towards those younger than her, namely her sidekicks and interns. People take comfort and safety in the motherly feeling about her, which has been made even stronger by her daughter Tenki's birth. 

Her gentle nature makes her approachable for others and allows them to be vulnerable enough to open up to her. She will listen to them with open ears and help them as best as she can. 

Despite her gentle and soft spoken nature, Sorami is incredibly blunt and direct in her talk. This catches people off guard. She makes it well known that she is not a doormat and most definitely not a pushover, either.

Sorami will not let anyone try to silence her, either, that's only going to make her speak out more. But, she is still mindful of people's feelings– or at least she is on a small scale. She can (and is) very critical of certain people and organizations, and makes these criticisms known.

While she may not look like it, she is easily anxious, and does not like to be put in uncertain and unwanted situations because of this. When faced with a difficult situation, she will become increasingly neurotic and will display symptoms of a panic attack until she starts having a full blown one.

Though, she tries her best to avoid these kinds of situations. Her anxiety sometimes interferes with her everyday life.

Quirk: Weather

Sorami has full–almost godlike– control over the weather and meteorological patterns of any area she's in. She can cause storms, temperature changes, lightning, etc. She can also control the intensity and range of various natural phenomena; also exercising control over the elements as they relate to weather.

Sorami is capable of using her Quirk inside a room, with or without changing the weather outside.

She possesses a unique ability: being able to create constructs such as barriers, armor, and more out of weather phenomena with various solidity and complexity. This is an ability she has fully mastered and can create anything she needs for almost any situation.

She shares a Quirk with her ancestor, the legendary hero and forefather of her family Susanoo.

Stormchaser Childhood Lore

Hirosora, Sorami's father, was number one hero of Japan when she was born. Her birth made headlines all across both the country and world. He continued to be a top hero throughout her childhood up until his retirement. As a result, Sorami basically grew up a princess.

She got anything and everything she wanted since it would never put a dent in either of her parents' wallets. Her and her brother were basically their parents' babies.

Whenever her parents were busy, she would be watched by her grandma and grandpa.

Sorami always went with her parents whenever they traveled. Hirosora and Uche would hide her from the cameras since they didn't want or need either of their children being overexposed.

Uche took it upon herself to teach her daughter all about her Nigerian heritage, just like she did with Akihiro. She emphasized how important it was that her children be aware of both sides of their heritage, something both her husband and his family agreed on.

During the first few years of Sorami's life she received education about her African roots including how to speak Igbo, her mother's native tongue.

At the age of 4, Sorami manifested her Quirk when she made it stop raining so her and Akihiro could play outside. Everyone watching was shocked, including the family elders who realized that Sorami was born with Susanoo's Quirk. They quickly turned to Hirosora and Uche to begin training for the young girl right away.

At some point Sorami, her mother, and her brother moved to Nigeria. Not because her parents divorced or anything, but so that they could better connect to their Nigerian heritage. She lived with her maternal family for a few years. Uche also began helping her children with Quirk training while in Nigeria (heeding the words of her in-laws).

Her method? By applying their powers to everyday life, they would become more in control of their powers-- especially Sorami.

Sorami would be asked to make it rain so her aunt's plants could be watered or to help the locals out using her powers. The more she did this, the more controllable and in tune she became with her powers. So by the time they went back to Japan, Sorami's mastery was more advanced than that of most children's her age.

She also began martial arts and weapons training with her father and grandfather-- her father teaching her martial arts and her grandfather teaching her swordsmanship and how to use other weapons.

Early Career Lore/HCs: Stormchaser

Right after graduating college, she signed onto her brother Akihiro's agency as a Pro Hero. She had been encouraged to do this by her family as she could get a foot in the door by working under him as a Pro rather than as a sidekick.

Her marketing in the early days of her career had two focuses. One was the weather princess to her brother's sun prince, the other was being the "cute little sister".

Her first official hero costume could basically be described as haute couture weather reporter.
