I like how the buildup to Neku’s appearance in neo is like omg he’s so legendary and powerful and then he finally shows up and he looks like... how do I put this, he looks like the friend who stops at the beginning of a crosswalk because he realizes his shoes are untied and then the light turns green and there aren’t any cars but he waits anyway “just to be safe” so you have to wait like five minutes for him to cross the road

anon we are standing here holding each others faces now. i think that the first time rindo plans to hang out with just fret and shoka together for the first time he spends the whole time waiting for them to show up nervous that it'll be weird without the whole group dynamic because he has Such A Specific Thing with each of them alone but this worry eventually shifts to his more familiar long-suffering norm because fret and shoka got there first and got excited by a sale advertisement at joli and gatto and accidentally left him thinking they both stood him up for like half an hour while they went shopping together
