I want to let you know what miracle you pulled off.

See, aside from very rare exceptions, I usually don't like romance in stories. It takes me out of it, and I just want to move on from it (that's not to say that I think there's anything wrong with it. It's just not for me)

It is really hard to get me to ship something. In my own story (aside from the parents) there is one romantic relationship (Endre and another girl), and it ends in tragedy (and not because one of them dies! SPOILERS You know how I said Ákos didn't fall, he was pushed? Guess who did that)

But YOU managed to get me to ship every single one of your ships!

Don't get me wrong, Henry and Aiden are still my faves, but you should be proud!

On that note! What were Henry and Callan's play dates like?

I just like to think there were times when they just watched Aiden from the distance.

Oh, I feel honored then! I’m really glad you like my boys ^^ especially if you are normally not into romance in stories (which I totally get)

Also you may only have one relationship in your story but man did you make me curious about them with just one sentence.

I’ll be honest with you: I have no idea how I even managed to make people ship my oc ships. I’m really happy they do, but how it happened is a miracle to me xD I always consider myself bad at writing romance

Since Henry and Callan already met regularly as children, their meetings were really mostly simple playing in the woods. Sometimes they did fun things like collecting berries or mushrooms or pick flowers (Callan liked making flower crowns for them)

But they also did a lot of just sitting together/laying around and talk. They’re both the type that loved to dream and to tell stories and since their lives were so different, they liked talking about that too.

Often they’d sit under the old oak or lay in the grass of the clearing and read, especially as they got older.

Henry’s family didn’t have that many books, so Callan always brought some from his father’s library along for them to read. He loves it when Henry reads to him.

Later, when Henry had to care for his family and work as a hunter after his mom died, they could only meet at night. And since he was often tired, sometimes their meeting was just Henry napping with his head in Callan’s lap. They just liked being close.

Callan had always been Henry’s secret, so he never told his family about him even if he sometimes wanted to. He did however introduce Aiden and his parents to Callan by showing them off from afar like in a goddamn zoo
