finished all canon holmes and it's very easy to conclude that to date absolutely no adaptation came close to replicating the vibe of the stories

#especially not granada no #thats the version to watch if you want to enjoy some uncalled unwarranted changes to the story #no wonder brett hissed and pissed at the show execs #if these people created the last vampyre i cant even imagine what they wanted to do with the character of holmes #basically from my observations there are many vibes created by all adaptations but none come close to canon #i think canon sometimes is like 70% atmosphere #if that shit isnt filmed full wide-screen where a person occupies no more than 30% of the shot it's not legit #<= me in denial that behind all those flowery descriptions there's just the victorian era stiffness of everyone involved? shut uppppp #im not in denial at alllllll make the sun the rain the mud the snow the ancient english settlements the moody houses their own characters #and thats where the real vibe of the stories comes through
