Okay, that was an excellent twist, did not see that coming at all!

Ok but why did the Challenger have to pay the price?! Seriously.
I really enjoyed the opening. Everyone getting their family moment.
The Deeks Touche moment was just 🥰 their little family unit is so cute and I wished we got to see a whole lot more of it. Them camping? Yes, please. The banter, Deeks talking to himself. They really went all in for this moment.
Poor Anna. This whole wedding thing is doing my head in, can't imagine how she feels. And Arkady had that coming. Don't sneak up behind Anna, silly old man.
Poor Sam. I want him to have a good ending with his father.
Did anyone else get emotional over the opening credits?? It took me half a second to pay attention and notice what they'd done.

One last San Pedro shoot?
SPOILER ALERT FOR NCISLA S14E19 (I think).
NCISLA filmed in San Pedro awhile back. One of many such days in the last 14 years. I've been lucky enough to catch a few. I must admit I was tempted to steal one of these signs- after all, I figured they weren't gonna need them in a couple more weeks, right? (I didn't.)
There was no sign of Eric Christian Olsen, but I did watch Chris O'Donnell filming an interesting scene with Jere Burns, who plays Pembrook.
Apologies for the poor photo quality- my phone at the time was approximately 200 years old.
It starts at an ambulance, surrounded by cop cars, police officers, and REACT team members. Pembrook is in the ambulance on the phone when Callen approaches and they have a quick conversation.
Then Pembrook gets up and walks to a waiting SUV that appears to be driven by federal agents. He's clearly injured, maybe a gunshot wound to the shoulder?
Pembrook gets in the SUV and Callen hesitates before coming after him. He bangs on the window and yells something to the effect of "Why didn't Hetty tell me?" or "Why didn't Hetty pull me out?" The SUV pulls away leaving him looking frustrated.
So in other words, absolutely nothing new or surprising
Also, apparently Dani and Caleb were filming that day too, so no Densi.

ngl: i can absolutely live with the retcon of callen’s backstory/childhood once again if it means that hetty is finally held accountable for everything she’s done, in general and to him and callen finally washes his hands of her!

Finally watching NCISLA and 1. this feels almost like a Halloween episode given the creepy corridor searching in this abandoned theater and 2. Deeks knowing Sam so well is my favorite thing ever.

NCISLA: Season 14, episode 19 thoughts
Spoilers
Let me start by saying, G. Callen, not my favourite character. That being said this story needed its ending and we FINALLY got it. With the knowledge that the series was ending when they got to this episode, I'm glad they wrapped it up the way they did on the sidewalk. I'll never sympathise with Hetty or her actions but I'm glad Callen can finally move on and stop blaming his past for his present. Do I wish Sam was in this episode? Yes, but it would've gone a different way if he had been because he wouldn't have left G's side.
I enjoyed the shoot out in ops. I've always wanted someone to infiltrate that location, I know it's been done before, but I really didn't like that office they built upstairs so I'm glad it got shot to hell.
I missed Deeks, definitely wasn't enough of him in this episode even though it was a Callen centred one. I'm glad Kensi was there to back G up though. Unsure if that's what they were going for but it was giving me Season one nostalgia for a bit but I have been rewatching the earlier seasons of late.
All in all, I enjoyed the episode. It's NCISLA it's not meant to be an intricately plotted, keep you guessing show. The plot is obvious and the story sometimes is just surface level but with the show finishing they gave an finality to a never ending character and I enjoyed it. Plus besting the CIA is always what NCISverse does best.
