We started with two teenagers being approached by some weird robot, a grumpy old guy telling them to leave it alone, then a speeding car containing two kidnapped parents. Seeing Callen and Anna’s morning routine was so sweet, and Rosa needing help with calculus was understandable- it sucks. I love the fact Kilbride and Rountree bond over football, and I love Callen and Fatima’s bond in general. Castor made his first appearance of the season, and we got a glimpse into Kilbride’s personal life. I really love whenever Kensi and Deeks are referred to as parents, and it was great to learn more about Fatima prior to our meeting her. 300 missiles on US soil introduced some pretty high stakes, and the Sandhagens got more and more suspicious the more their business partner talked. It seems like everyone’s pressuring, or at the very least encouraging, Callen and Anna to have kids, and Rountree’s bad news for Kilbride turned from sad to funny with one of his trademark outbursts. The writers finally remembered Kensi’s part Jewish, and the nanny having $230k in students loans was pretty horrifying. Kensi and Fatima taking down the bad guys was cool, and the song added to the tense mood. The one-on-one fight scenes were pretty cool, and the happy ending with the Sandhagens was sweet. Kilbride and the Colonel’s conversation was a great scene, and set up a lot of possible future plotlines, as did Anna’s job uncertainty- I wouldn’t want to work in an office all day either.
