📍 Dzuleke, Nagaland Dzuleke, just about 10km from Khonoma (the first ‘green village’ of India) and about 40km from Kohima (the capital of Nagaland) is a treat to the eyes of the traveller. Dzuleke is a delight to visit because of its serene beauty. Having gotten its name from river Dzuleke, there’s not just gorgeous flora and fauna but also incredible wildlife, especially ever since this hunting village banned hunting to protect wildlife. 👉✅Follow @discoverneindia 👉✅Follow @discoverneindia 👉✅Follow @discoverneindia . . . 📸 PC: @apen.small_villageguy . . . . . #Dzuleke #DzulekeVillage #kohima #kohimadistrict #kohimadiaries #kohimatourism #nagaland #nagalandtourism #nagalanddiaries #khonoma #greenvillage #nagalandtravels #droneshots #northeast #whereisnortheast #northeasttourism #discovernorneindia #explorenortheast #northeastindia #incrediblenortheast #paradiseofnortheast #discovernortheastindia #travelnortheast #explorenortheastindia #ResponsibleTourism #SustainableTourism (at Dzüleke) https://www.instagram.com/p/CoTyhQQrgqR/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Nagaland #day2 & #day3 Aches and pains aside, the heart galloped and the lungs wheezed as it attempted to process the excess "fresh" air liberally tinged with wood fire smoke. This, while the eyes feasted on the view and the cold seeped in to settle into the bone marrow. The night in Dzukou Valley will forever be etched in our memories as that "never-ending" night, the one where Anu and I learned what it actually means to "feel cold" as we shivered and struggled to sleep despite wearing 6 layers of clothing and tucking ourselves between layers of blankets to stay warm. The reason - as we realised the next morning - was the snowfall in the mountains and the frost in the valley... I guess then we can officially say that morning view of the frost covered valley was worth every second. #nagaland #nagalandtourism #nagalanddiaries #dzukouvalley #dzukouvalleytrek #dzukousnowfalls #dzukoufrost #snowfallindia #fromthecornertable (at Dzukou Valley) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cnl5vk8sIR_/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Nagaland #day2 The highlight of @punithanupama & my Nagaland trip was the trek to Dzukou valley (at 8000 ft), something I'd completely forgotten about! But to be honest, nothing could have prepared us - two non-trekkers - for this journey of... • 20 minutes of trudging along a steep, pebbled path, followed by • over 1.5 hours of clambering, crawling, lunging, tripping and more on a mountain trail and then • a 2.5+ hour walk along a path cut along the mountains And we did it. Through Anu's dizziness that nearly spelled doom for her balance, my menstrual cramps and wheezing lungs, to the sudden need to set up tent in the middle of a grove just because we were done! We pulled each other and were hauled by our guides, we gave each other Ted Talks and had our guides snickering as we swore and vented... but we did it and damn if we aren't proud of us! #dzukouvalley #dzukouvalleytrek #trekking #trekkingindia #nagaland #nagalandtourism #nagalanddiaries #northeastindia #travelblogger #travelgram #girlswhotravel #incredibleindia #fromthecornertable (at Dzükou valley) https://www.instagram.com/p/CnhW5reMA2F/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
