🌷🌳🌷 A windy, windy day here on the #oklahomaprairie! So...maybe it’s because I really feel like I KNOW you guys that I always feel compelled to point out my hoses and trash cans and the errant garden tools I’ve left about. Like I’m afraid you’ll trip over them or something😝🤪. I really DO wish that I could take you on an ACTUAL tour rather than a virtual one. Especially now when the front yard seems to change so rapidly, from one minute to the next, much less one day to the next. It is beautiful but subdued in palette now and just beginning to really take off. I do love the purity of the #greenandwhite and pale lavender tableau before the explosion of color begins. The first of the sweet peas and the last of the tulips from my little cutting patch. I'm pleased I decided to start growing my own, it's so exciting to see things actually flower after all the hard work. The nigella has created a sea of blue in one corner and there's a good selection of pink snapdragons and my favorite, deep velvety burgundy. This was the year! I have been wanting to hang something off my railings forever. I found these amazing deep pocket bags on Amazon. Everything I put in them I grew from seed. Some of it for my winter sowing. Some of it from direct seeding. And then… I engineered the drip system. Set the timers! And it is taking care of itself. I drop a little water soluble fertilizer on it once a week. And the plants are just thriving.
