The problem is not that no one cared for Anakin but rather that Anakin had very strict requirements for the *only* ways he expected people to care for him and -key- to *express* their care.

If anyone cared about him in *any way other than the way he demanded* then, to Anakin, that care did not exist/did not count

Anakin didn't really seem to understand the fact that people literally have different ways of expressing love. I mean, we see that very clearly with Obi-Wan and how he loves — and Anakin is even more clearly not able to see that, because like you said, he has very specific expectations for those who love him.

So I definitely agree with you :)

Also I saw your ask while I was traveling and read through it quickly and completely misunderstood what you were saying and I made a post kind of expressing that — so if you saw that post, I'm so sorry! I shouldn't have been so quick to react. This vacation has been an extreme emotional challenge because of how the people I was traveling with were treating me for the past 12 days. I'm glad to be home now and hope to get my mental health back up to where it was before.
