Highly recommend My Dearest Self with Malice Aforethought! The ending isn't so great, but it's really interesting.
Oh I’ve had this recommendation before :D I’ll def have to look into this! Its a newer one looks like, so I might have to buy it, so my reviewing it will take a while(Unless its magically in my library system)
Thank you for the recc, anon!

This manga is criminally underrated.
Definitely one of my favorite thriller manga, right next to Monster! “My Dearest Self with Malice Aforethought” by Hajime Inoryu is a mystery/psychological thriller that begins with our main character, Eiji, an ordinary college student who, one night, went out drinking with his friends and laments about not having a girlfriend (as he usually does). But 3 days later, Eiji wakes up with a girl on his bed, claiming to be his girlfriend. Eiji, however, has no recollection or memories of how this happened because he only woke up 3 days later. The story then follows as Eiji tries to make sense of his memory lapses and the weird events that keep happening to him. (If this description still doesnt convince you to read it, JUST READ IT GIVE IT A CHANCE IT'S GONNA BE WORTH IT)
This manga touches on topics like social injustice, prostitution, mental illness, various types of abuse, and many more. So, if you're interested in reading, just a trigger warning that there are graphic depictions of sexual abuse, gore, and murder.
This manga is like a fusion of Tokyo Ghoul, Death Note (kinda has similar art style w/ the two), and Monster in a way. So if you like any of those, pls pls PLS check this out! There are also a LOT of plot twists that caught me off guard so MANY TIMES. I cannot tell you how many times I had to put down my phone and look at the ceiling to recompose myself from the shock of events.
Overall, I rate it a 9/10! Feel free to check it out and tell me what you think about it :))
