i'm making a playlist of all the oldie songs my baba loves for him so he has them all in one place. and I'm so crying at the fact it's plenty of french songs he grew up with in morocco who also had an italian version and vice versa back then. it's like all french and italian singers at some point decided they had to invest in each other's markets. like (x) (x), or (x) (x), or again (x) (x) etc etc etc. like now the market is just english driven and it's a bit idk maddening? it's like we're living a giant linguistic colonisation to be honest. btw benji pavard i support your quest on not speaking english ever
