"How about Annie tells me what she's in the mood to be eating, and I see about whipping some up, eh? Didn't realize it was an experience you wanted so bad." There's a deep laugh from the large man. "Or maybe she just wants some of my ice cream... guess that's fine by me too. Here, have a bite."

Spoon sticks into his bowl, and some of that rocky road is offered out for the lady as brows lift.

For me 2018 is the year I try more poetry so when Ankita asked our New Bloggers group whether anyone would like read and review her upcoming collection I decided I could help out too.

I did really enjoy the collection because a good handful of them invoked a lot of emotions.

Many of the poems deal with someone struggling with relationships, accepting themselves, and a love they deserve.

Its an emotional read. The few poems I just shared are some great examples of this as they resonate dealing with abuse.

However I did have a lot of trouble following the book as a whole because I felt it needed a finale editing phase to have a more flowing path of the emotions explored.

The way the poems were organised meant we were going back and forth between positive and negative emotional responses from the poems and this caused a very disjointed experience for myself.

I think pairing all the similar poems together would’ve produced a stronger response of what they were aiming to make you feel.

The collection is currently part of the kindle unlimited so I definitely think its worth checking out if you have access to that!

What are your muses preferred weapons?

Jaspern: His scythe. It’s his bonded weapon– he made it on his own with a bit of help from Lera as a sort of congratulations for finishing his training. The gem that it’s stored in is bound to his soul, so the weapon only responds to he, JJ, and Lera.Lerato: Magical energy, seals/barriers/runes. He can shape his magical energy into whatever form he wishes. It can be of a neutral element, or take on his death element, but is extremely dangerous either way. Many of the seals, barriers, and runes that he uses are of his own design, or at least tweaked to be more to his liking.Darrow: Fire magic and his teeth/claws. He was a simple fox before he ever gained a human or god form. Meaning that his first instinct is always going to be to tear into someone with his teeth and claws. Still, since awakening to it, he tends to favor his fire magic more in situations where he’s trying to keep someone back, or scare them off.JJ: Doesn’t really have one? He prefers bladed weapons, and does have a pair of sickles that he likes to use, but he doesn’t have a favorite weapon. Jas keeps encouraging him to pick one though, so he can make his own bonded weapon.Ber: Magic. Ber is a magical powerhouse, and can cast all sorts of spells with deadly speed and accuracy. Though that’s what he’ll default to if he’s in a real fight, he prefers something like a simple knife in a less threatening situation, since he prefers to sneak up on people and deal with them before they can fight back. He’s also scary good with ranged weapons like guns or bows.Melchior: Fists or poison/magic. Io tends to use his fists more often than not, and specializes in a few different fighting styles to increase his chances of coming out on top in a fight. He can control his poison much like a spell, but it has consequences if used too much, so a lot of times he’ll focus on his other magic instead.Cicaelia: Talwar. Most of Hell’s guard use heavier blades, but as Aelia only has one arm, it’s more energy effective for her to use something like her talwar. Of course, she also has her fire magic, but she tends to use it as more of a last resort, since it can do a lot more damage than she intends for it to.Pythius: Magic. His command of darkness is pretty vast, and he can shape it into pretty much whatever he wants to. He usually doesn’t even have to lift a finger in a fight, and if he does, he’ll usually shift to his full demon form to do so.Rourke: Anelaces. Twin long daggers that Jas’ past life helped him make a really long time ago. They’re his bonded weapons, and he’s like a tiny bladed whirlwind when he’s using them– making up for his lack of brute strength with his speed and agility.Kadios: Teeth/claws. You’ll rarely see Kade fight seriously outside of his beast form, where he relies solely on his teeth and claws. In his human form, he tends to fight with his bare hands as well, though he can use his magic in limited amounts as well.Decus: He usually uses his magic and some type of weapon at the same time (Usually a double-bladed staff). It takes up a lot of energy, but Dei has more than enough to back up his style. It truly makes him a dangerous and unpredictable adversary, and fights against him are usually over quickly.Eluvias: Venom, bladed weapons. You’ll rarely see Luvi attack someone outright, and when he does, it’s usually with a huge burst of venom– so the fight doesn’t usually last long. Otherwise, he’s known to literally sneak up and stab people in the back, or slit their throat.

She definitely loves her cute and girl dresses, jewelry she can take it or leave it, if someone important to her got her jewelry, she'd wear it, but other than that? It's not something she goes out of her way for. That said if the opportunity arises to dress up? Anelace will jump at that! I imagine she'd go for something more fun on the side of the more mature dresses like a cocktail dress? I'd imagine it would be something like:

Generally, as a whole, I would say she was a good kid at heart, Anelace had her moments no doubt - but with her Grandfather raising her, she did her best to not be too much work for him. She learned the sword from him, so that kept her pretty busy too.

If there is anything Anelace is good at, it's hiding in plain sight, blending with the crowd with her height alone. Not that she's actively avoiding her boyfriend or similar, it just usually kind of happens when the crowds are as big as they are on this day. (Markets are always a big thing and something that Anelace and Dogi seem to enjoy.)

As she's lifted much like her beloved plushies, Annie can't help the noise that seems to leave her upon her descent towards the sky. The smile on her face is bright, excited being up in the air under the careful hold of her beloved boyfriend.
