Picture this: You come over to have a lunch that was prescheduled or something and you know he's daredevil so seeing the typical injury, it isn't surprising but why doesn't he take care of himself?

"You know you don't have to be here," he tries again and again, but you're still there, pushing down on his shoulders for him to stay on the bed.

You're only trying to keep him on bed rest after finding out he got shot. Someone patched him up, took the bullet out and everything but he's not taking it fucking easy.

"Do I? Are you gonna listen to me and just rest?" You bite back, feeling a bit bitter as you press down on his bandaged shoulder.

He groans and wraps his hand around your wrist, hissing as you kept pushing down until his back made contact with his sheets. "You're making this more difficult than it has to be, Murdock," you say as you half-assed pulling the covers on him, him staying put for a split second and when you turn your back, you hear the bed creak only the tiniest bit.

Then a hand came from behind you, wrapping around your throat, not squeezing, just draped across like pearls, and you have to admit, swallowing the spit. His hand makes a damn pretty necklace.

"You haven't seen difficult, sweetheart."

Holy shit.

How are you not supposed to go feral after that?
