faux fur, silver, jazz!!
thank you, mandy!!
faux fur: describe your wardrobe.
it’s really super varied but, i really love pencil skirts and button downs!! white v-neck t-shirts and high waisted jeans, and loose maxi dresses! i pretty much wear heels (stilettos and booties) about 90% of the time, and i try to stick with really minimal jewelry and accessories!
silver: do you have any obscure hobbies? what are they?
hmmm i don’t know if this is obscure but clothes and fashion are genuinely really important to me! if i feel good in what i’m wearing i feel so so much more confident. i also really love learning new obscure facts and just googling the most random questions!!
jazz: name a song that resonates with you and your emotions. explain the reason why.
turning page by sleeping at last is one of my favorite songs of all time, it’s just so hauntingly beautiful and i feel like the very gentle background with the really romantic lyrics really makes me feel nostalgic. (for something i’ve never had rip) but also anything by frank sinatra because it’s very grand and ~jazzy~ but lyrically it’s really subdued!!

DA LATEST FROM DA LAT We moved to another hostel this morning that was closer to the centre of town. Im not sure if I mentioned but the night before we hadn't had much choice in where we stayed as it was literally the only one left! Driving down the road we got rained on a little bit and it continued to spit whilst we checked into our room and unloaded our bikes. Eager to see what Dalat was all about, we set off for a cool coffee shop that we'd heard about, right in the centre of town. On the way there I took a picture of a crystal clear river that runs through town. There's obviously been a lot of rain coming down here, I couldn't believe how fast it was running. We continued to get "spat up in the face" by the rain, for the rest of the walk until the heavens opened again. Fortunately we'd just sat down in the cafe and dodged it. Jazzz. Staying in there for quite a while, we watched blissfully as the rain unleashed hell on the locals and other tourists alike. There's something about being warm and dry whilst watching people have a nightmare that's incredibly comforting. Your seat becomes deeper and at the time, you'd swear blind that it was the best seat you've ever sat in. Everything you eat and drink tastes better and all your worries slip away, leaving you to revel in someone else's. It's poetry. When the rain FINALLY stopped, I bought some new headphones as mine were shot to bits and Howard picked up a clever double ended usb thingy. We can now put movies from his phone onto a television screen if there's ever one with a USB slot. It just so happens that where we're staying has one and we watched a couple episodes of The Long Way Round. I should add that the reason he bought it, was because the next two weeks are predicted to be entirely rain. Hopefully once we get out of Dalat it will clear up again, as that would probably be the end of the bike trip with us resorting to trains instead. It's not going be any fun if every time we get on them, we get soaked through to the bones too. It's still early days. Almost missing out on dinner as everywhere seemed to be closing or already closed. We struck gold and found a pokey little restaurant ran by the nicest old lady you've ever met. She recommended a set menu to us which cost £4.00 in total for both of us... (I took some pictures for Charlie). After dinner we went to the craziest bar In the world.. It was six or seven levels of secret doors, ladders, tunnels, staircases and hidden rooms all decorated like caves or rainforest. Better still, they'd sculpted the whole lot out of concrete..! In short, I reckon it's the closest thing you could get to experiencing acid bar actually trying it. Needless to say by the end of it, we were both "very, very drunk."
