My questions 1. What was your first otp? Oh lord, I really can’t remember. I’m trying to think back to my early fandom days and it doesn’t help that I’m a serious multishipper. My earliest favorites were Kurahi or Miroku and Sango LOL but I think the first real OTP I was legitimately obsessive over was KamKyu from S7. 2. Where would you like to spend your day if the world were to come to an end tomorrow? I’d probably go up to NYC and just walk around a lot and then come home and sleep it off. Sleep through the apocalypse, why not. 3. Any special skill? I can sleep through as many alarms as I want on my days off but always wake up in time for work. 4. Do you believe in fate? Not really. I think fate is a fancy word for special coincidences, but not saying that’s a negative thing. 5. Minions or Bee movie: which one is worst? Minions. Bee movie was a one-off that keeps making the rounds on the internet as a joke/meme but the minions are still out there and hurting people. 6. Sunsets or sunrises? Sunrises. Not that I’m awake early enough for them anymore pffft. 7. What’s your favourite subject? ...As in school subjects? I was always a big history/english nerd. Or as in subjects for like, conversation? I dunno I just like talking about fiction. Get me started on something and I literally will not shut up. 8. Are you fond of scary movies? Hell no. Bye. 9. Do you prefer comics or books? I honestly have no preference. I’ll read it if it’s good. 10. Do you have any goals you’d like to achieve someday? I don’t really think of it as achievable tbh but I’d wanna produce something of my own. Publish, or something like that. More realistically, I guess just being free to make my own things, art-wise, and somehow make that profitable enough to keep doing it. (Then again maybe that’s not achievable either...)

...Also I wanna own a pet. 11. Last show you watched. We finally got around to watching Brooklyn 99 and it is gold.

Many years ago I wanted to write about Hiei & Kurama but as the tale of Tristan & Ysolde. I always liked the idea of Hiei being softer around the edges while Kurama is the harder nut to crack. There's probably a trope in there somewhere.

Sometimes the original characterization can get lost when there are stories like these, like one character becoming too much of the embodiment of the "feminine," or "the receiver/uke," etc. I wanted to mitigate that idea in order to make it so both Hiei and Kurama showed their own strengths as who we know, whilst plugged into an ancient love story. I wanted to finish this for BlueUtopiah.
