Oh definitely.

Most definitely has several issues from the whole y’know giant metal angel thingy. Aggression mostly aimed toward the Velvet Room, definitely, and (especially in the base story) the Thieves themselves despite the fact that he’s helping them.

And as for the anxiety? I literally have an anxiety disorder and I am shoving as much disorder into this bad boy as I can. So yeah at some point that’s gonna come up!

Yaldy having a full blown crisis after november 19th because he realized he’s starting to really care about ren after the kid fell asleep in his arms from crying is an amazing thought lol

I’m imagining the gif of a woman with a shocked face and all these math equations floating across the gif. But Yaldabaoth in that exact moment.

He does a mirroring of Akira standing over him while he slept that one time, but this time with him standing over Akira while he’s recovering. He’s doing an angsty monologue in his head. Akira’s just like “Bird dad <3”

WAIT! One more thing! What job do you think yaldy would have? Cuz either he’s employed or he somehow gets government benefits and uses that for an apartment for him and Akira, but I feel like either he would have a paid internship with a human resources or psychologist (because i looked it up and shigeru SHOULD be able to afford an apartment under a paid internship and be able to pay other things)

OR we make our boy work in an actual part time job…maybe a bird rescue or pet store? Couldn’t think of anything else, besides the basic store or customer service (but tbh that sounded basic and i wanted to spice it up lol)

You know what would be funny? If he worked a paid internship. But! It’s at a Random Research Facility. Researching what? He’s not told he just needs to run papers.

Papers that go to, coincidentally, a Shadow Operative? I don’t know which one, but that’s what I think at least.

Mmmmmm now I’m just brainstorming some angst ideas, and what better thing to do than to use november 19th/20th interrogation room !! (minor warning I suppose)

Yaldy is just this ball of sheer anxiety and stress that day at the apartment because he’s scared he messed up the timeline too much and his kiddo wouldn’t make it, but when Sae shows up at his door with a drugged and beat up ren, internally he sighs because at least the kid’s alright

but he’s still extremely concerned for ren, and thinks he’s an idiot for doing such a dangerous and ballsy plan, all while cleaning and patching up the kid

Ren is a bit drowsy from everything, but either he falls asleep in Shigeru’s arms…or he bursts out in tears because he’s so stressed out, and idk which one is better ☹️

Honestly, I like the little back and forth thingy we got going on lmao, i like hearing your thoughts and ideas just as much as you do for me !

Y’know I was about to say “bold of you to assume that that scene would still occur” but then I remembered that I literally wrote a flashforward to that scene.

So anyway, the image you have given me of Yaldabaoth patching up Ren while being a little bitch about it out of the best place possible. Acting like he wasn’t in the casino at the time of the capture making sure everything was going right because Timeline Things tm.

And how about this, Ren crying into Yaldabaoth’s arms and Yaldabaoth realizing that he might actually legitimately care about this kid, and then Ren falls asleep and then Yaldabaoth gently takes him to his room while contemplating this revelation.

I am now seriously considering writing a one shot of this scene, but I am attempting to tie my hands to the main story at the moment. So whenever I’m done with that I guess?

no… unfortunately. i got into aa because of the random encounters musical on it (don’t judge i was like, 10) and then one day on steam i found the trilogy and i begged my mom to get it and violá. so

Alright! First off, same. Random Encounters musicals were my childhood as well.

Second, if you like puzzle games I’d highly recommend Ghost Trick! It’s also by Shu Takumi (the guy who directed the first 4 ace attorney games and also the Great Ace Attorney). It’s a very very fun time, but I do recommend you do not look at anything beyond asking me for a description before playing. It’s a very fun time when going in blind! There’s also a demo! That’s very important!

Well you’re in luck! There is at least one of those per investigation segment going forward where Herlock keeps being so so silly!

My favorite Herlock moment is the second on in this case (there’s a second one!) But one word of advice! Remember to investigate everything before selecting anything as your final answer in those segments!

Hmm. Yeah, that case isn’t the most fun. The investigation is the highlight of the game, but that’s in tandem with the characters and right here it isn’t as good. Susato definitely gets better as an investigation partner, but for now her hostility is really annoying.

It gets better, trust me! Susato is so cool during the court segments, and you haven’t even seen Gina yet! You gotta see Gina!

my favorite case…? ummmm i think it was turnabout goodbyes. hell of a case to get through but i loved it because of all the amazing quotable moments such as the annual “almost christmas means it wasn’t christmas” and the fact that phoenix cross examined a parrot and it didn’t work because manfred retrained the parrot

I love the almost Christmas line. Wild as hell case, I adore it. That parrot is probably my favorite witness out of that game, just out of sheer absurdity.

Also. One of the great unsolved Ace Attorney mysteries. Who got the parrot when the case was over? Is it in witness protection? Who knows who knows. (The like to think the Judge has it.)

my favorite game is the original. the rest of the first trilogy was boring (the only thing that saved it was whatever the hell was going on between maya, phoenix, miles, and franziska - that was fun to see play out), i can’t find any other game 😭, and i’m not sure how i feel about the great ace attorney chronicles yet.
