my personal hc that most of my kh art is based in

its time. i feel the ramble coming on. ill put it under a cut its gonna be a mess i know already. features uhhh almost everyone beside sora because he needs to be found.

ok right so where do i start. i firmly believe in the sleeping realm theory so thats a big part of it.

kairi is deposited in either the standard normal known light realm by sora. the realm is still mostly fine because darkness takes its time swooping in. kairi tries contacting the other guardians of light but phones dont work interdimensionally, so she sends bottle mail the way she used to, which finds its way to the guardians in the realm of sleep. heart connections and stuff.shes also capable of directly communicating with namine in her dreams, and namine relays information to the others.

kairi contacts the twilight gang and the radiant garden gang, that being, leon and co, who are still in the realm of light, which is why they dont appear in the sleeping realm in kh3. leon and aerith come to pick her up and take her to twilight town, where she gets to recharge a bit mentally with hayner, pence, olette.

why are they there when we saw them in the sleeping realm in kh3? because like traverse town and pinoccios world and whatever else was around in ddd, part of twilight town is asleep, and with it a part of its inhabitants. pinoccio can be both in the realm of light and the sleeping realm, like hes split apart, in ddd. so i see the same thing happening to olette and co. so part of them is where the guardians of light are, part of them is where kairi is.

anyway

after a while kairi, now with her own gummiship, travels to radiant garden to train with, learn with and live with leon and co. she does research on radiant gardens history, on her own past, learns fist fighting from tifa, learns light magic from aerith, learns better sword fighting from leon.

after another while the twilight gang phones her to say they want to help more and kairi picks them up to also train in radiant garden.

thats about all i got on kairi. well she also chops her hair off because shes pissed about fate.

next are the guardians of light in the realm of sleep.

riku doesnt want to live alone on destiny islands without sora and kairi. he cant anyway, he needs to find out how to bring sora back. now some people said that as soras dreameater, hed instantly drop to where sora is too, but i like to think that due to dimensional time difference riku has weeks and months before that. so riku moves to the land of departure to study its vast library on hearts and keyblades, and he also helps terra control the darkness better.

riku tends to obsess over his research so terra encourages riku to have a hobby on the side, woodworking. like he used to, riku starts building things again, clunky shapes at first, but really neat stuff the more time passes on.

meanwhile roxas, xion, axelea and isa are in twilight town, in their own home, living the life. they still train to stay on top, but theyre enjoying life, and they deserve it. they gladly invite namine over to live with them, but namine feels out of place and like she doesnt belong.

namine doesnt know what to do. shes so used to being isolated and alone, she wants to belong somewhere, but she feels like an outsider. she doesnt want to be back in radiant garden, ienzo and such bring back bad memories. she doesnt want to go to destiny islands, no one is there.

namine is in contact both with terra (big bro) and riku (wlw mlm solidarity) and them boys decide to invite namine to the land of departure, where she can learn to interact with people on the reg, but also do it at her own pace and pull back when she wants to since its not like theres many people there, and the place is big, and theres lots to do.

namine moves there, wants to feel useful, and learns to tend to the gardens in the land of departure, finding another artistic joy. she still paints a lot, but she also has gardening as a hobby now. the others make sure to make her feel welcome, aqua teaches namine more magic and offers books on namines specific type, ven makes certain to make namine laugh at least once a day. terra carries namine on his shoulders (once they grow closer).

namine and riku, in their shared loneliness, like post com, become really good friends. namine gifts riku drawings of visions about sora, riku builts her furniture.

while time passes, both namine and ven catch something like a shadow in the corner of their eye every once in a while. long story short, its repliku and vanitas. they communicate with them, work things out (i havent worried about the details) and once theyre sure, they have the radiant garden science boys make new replica bodies for them, and tadah, repliku and vanitas are back.

of course everyones skeptical at first, yada yada, fast forward, ven has a brat brother, namine has her own trio, van and repliku.

i think thats about it. theres minor things about singular items in the room drawings, since i obsess over every single thing lol, but theyre not important.

tldr;

kairi is in the realm of light version of radiant garden with aerith, leon, yuffie, cloud, tifa, cid, hayner, pence, olette,

namine, riku, repliku, vanitas are with ven, aqua and terra are in the sleeping realm version of land of departure

xion, axelea, roxas, isa and the sleeping versions of hayner, pence, olette are in the sleeping realm twilight town

sora is in limbo, soon to be found by riku
