Piers was sitting up against the wall, his abs and thigh wrapped in bandages. His skin was paling and his eyes were glazing over from the pain he had been in the whole time. The slightly visible dark circles under his eyes showed just how tired he was. They had been in hiding for a while and with Piers refusing to go to the hospital, the situation was only getting worse.

His hand was shaking from the lack of strength he had even holding it, shaking the gun in his hand as a result. He was trying to stay aware at least. His job was to protect Mukuro and get her to her father. He wasn’t about to die in the process. Afterwards, maybe. But he had a duty to fulfill.
