officially done with recreating part of the moon nexus set from the dragon prince!

it took longer than i hoped because i was too busy + there's only so much you can do with limited references and only like.. 2 photos to base yourself off for the design and measurements lmao

+ bonus: as for this one, it was more of something i thought i would like to add to the already finished design. i figured that with all the moon magic things they had going on in the nexus they would have some sort of light for the temples, so i added it to the little moon arcanum symbols at the top of each one

was talking about this earlier on twt with a friend but i find it sooo good how arc 1 callum's main concern of issue about himself was not being powerful enough or even enough to help others and then he suddenly realizes he's good at magic and it's his thing so he gets better at that and it becomes something he's insanely good at, until arc 2 where his main issue is “i can do things for others in a way i wasn't able to before, but i'm too powerful now that it's a threat to others and this startouch elf is trying to use me for his plans to destroy the world”

i find it so insane and crazy how his main concern in arc 1, which he later solved, is now something being used against him in arc 2. his initial worry was not being powerful enough to protect others or help them and now it's that he's too powerful that it's a risk towards those he wants to protect and help and god.. i love when this happens lmao

does anyone else stay up terrified of the possible s3 and s6 parallels we might have..

for one, i am personally terrified of the “callum and rayla are transporting something and it gets stolen from them” parallel possibility considering they have the prison and are traveling together with it just like they traveled with zym in s3 and nyx stole him for a while

doing some creative writing practice after getting insanely attached to the way the pjo books are narrated (i'm halfway through lightning thief so no spoilers pls) and i decided to write a small rayllum drabble in callum's perspective (that will most likely get turned into a oneshot because i'm now invested) in that writing style and my goodness this is so fun and also kinda hilarious

my brain can't put coherent thoughts together right now but i find it so interesting and so important to point out that harrow's letter helped shape callum's character for s3 and onwards. the whole “true strength is found in vulnerability, forgiveness and in love” part from his letter made me realize a couple of things after doing a rewatch of the entire show.

i'll have to make a more extensive post later on when my brain isn't all mushy but oh wow this letter really threw everything to our faces and said “this is what will happen to him and you'll see if he or other people use these specific things as his source of strength or as his weak point”
