do you have some favourite anime/manga? 👀👀
ooooo i do
fruits basket: i cannot express enough how much i love this. it’s been like nine months since i watched it but it still has me on a chokehold. no other anime has had the same impact on me. i really thought it was cute and light but nooo everyone has trauma. only five episodes in and i was already sobbing crying weeping bawling then it was just waterworks from there 🥲
kimi ni todoke: really cute and soft high school romance!! i was giggling and blushing nonstop over this but also feeling incredibly frustrated at the slowburn but kuronuma and kazehaya are so cute i love them a lot <333 i suggest reading the manga because the anime only covers like 1/3 of it
horimiya: SO WHOLESOME <333 i instantly fell in love with miyamura (hence the -miya in my url lololol) he’s my soft angel boy 🥰 also horimiya’s coming back in july and i’m really excited hihi i haven’t finished the manga tho lmao
tokyo revengers: i’m only including this out of pure bias because i’m emotionally attached to draken LMFAO but this was the first anime and manga i got into. it had so much potential at the beginning but the ending in my most honest opinion was um. really bad LMFAO like really fucking corny and the animation is shit 😭😭 draken is just so special to me so i can’t fully hate it lmfaodjsksk
erased: one of my favorites from my brother’s recommendations to me. definitely executed time travel much better than tokrev. it’s got the right amount of suspense and the villain reveal was perfect to me. also i wanna kiss fujinuma <333
spy x family: i’m sooo behind on the manga but yeah it’s def one of my favs. i love how loid is a top spy but he’s still not exempt from being a loser sometimes lmao also he’s hot. yor’s hot too. also yuri
your name: i adore the whole “love transcends time” and soulmates concept of it <33 and i fell in love with the soundtrack esp theme of mitsuha. it’s so lovely
a silent voice: it tackles bullying, mental health and suicide and i think they handled it delicately. i remember watching it during one of the lowest points of my life and crying because it was so relatable esp at that time but it was also very comforting. it’s such an important movie to me
5 centimeters per second: i feel like this is an acquired taste? the pacing is kinda slow but it’s basically about the sad truth of long distance inevitably having people grow apart after an amount of time and like what happens when you don’t learn to move on. i was really proud of myself for not crying during the movie but after watching it, the story started to sink in and i cried real fat tears for like over half an hour 😀

❝𝑺𝑯𝑬'𝑺 𝒀𝑶𝑼𝑹 𝑾𝑨𝑳𝑳𝑷𝑨𝑷𝑬𝑹❞
"Yo Akane!" Ishikawa waved towards Yanagi who tilted his head over towards his direction. The two of them smiled as Yanagi set down his lunch on the shared table with the rest of the group. Hori and Miyamura sat close together while Ishikawa stayed by Yoshikawa's side. While the other girl still felt slightly awkward around him, despite now having a girlfriend for several months, he could understand part of her distance.
Sengoku merely rolled his eyes as Hori pressured him to show off his wallpaper photo of him and Remi, to which he restrained an embarrassing cry.
“What are you guys up to?” He asked, raising his spoon to eat from his school lunch, “you’re all looking well today.”
”We were comparing each other wallpapers,” Hori said, tapping her phone and reaching out to Yanagi to show him her screen, “mine is just a regular sunset, I took it when I and Miyamura walked home.”
Miyamura scratched the edge of his cheek as he raised his phone, “. . . Mine is just the default one. . .”
“Oh, I see,” Yanagi commented giving the group another one of his ikemen smiles, “sounds fun! Ishikawa-kun, what is yours then?”
The group watched as the purple-haired student smirked at his question. Ishikawa proudly held out his phone to show off his phone screen, which was just a well-taken photo of the entire group, “mine is all of us! Pretty cool right?”
The group swooned over the well-taken photo that had everyone in the frame, this included other council members like Remi and Sakura, as well as you. Yanagi’s cheeks became slightly warm at the sight of you and him holding hands in the photo, your second hand holding up a peace sign at the camera.
Hori leaned over the table to stare at his screen, “when did you even take this photo?”
”When we met up for ice cream after school, remember?!” Ishikawa whined, “Miyamura dropped his damn popsicle on my pants! I had to walk around with a stain on my crotch for the rest of the day. . .”
The black-haired boy chuckled nervously, apologizing to him as Yanagi stared at the group. Despite still being sort of new to the friend group, he was beginning to feel like he was slowly becoming closer to them. As Yoshikawa pulled out her phone to reveal a manga cover as her wallpaper, Yanagi drifted off into thought about what sort of pictures he had.
Was it about the cute puppy he saw on the street? He wondered, he had a strange habit of keeping a lot of photos he found to be adorable in his camera roll.
“Akane, what’s your wallpaper anyway?” Sengoku asked, poking away at his food as he raised his eyebrows towards the pink-haired boy.
”E-Eh? Mine?” Yanagi pointed to himself, “m-my wallpaper. . . S-Sure!” The group sweatdropped at his innocent nature, wondering if his wallpaper was as bad as Sengoku’s. Yanagi slipped out his phone, pulling it out of his pocket and typing into it to reveal the screen. He overlooked what was actually on it and held it out to the group with a bright smile.
”Here, this is mine.”
There was a moment of silence from the group, beads of sweat dripping down from their chins as they gulped.
’Holy shit!” They thought, screaming out internally at the sight of his screen. While Yanagi was oblivious to their surprise, each person’s brains had burned that image into their skulls.
It was a photo of you smiling at the camera, the pink-haired boy’s oversized sweater wrapping around your figure as you laid back in bed. Although you were wearing shorts underneath the sweater, it was too small for the rest of the group to notice. The soft color of red was painted across your face as your innocent (e/c) eyes made contact with the lenses, your lips slightly parted to highlight your beauty. It seems as if this was one of those private pictures you would send to your boyfriend and the thought made the group slowly turn their heads at Yanagi in shock, their mouths hanging open as he stared at them with a blank, innocent expression.
Ishikawa felt himself grow dejected at the sight.
Not only was Yanagi a zillion times hotter than him, making him genetically inferior to the smallest of cells. Despite being rejected by the blond-idiot he called Yoshikawa, he also had one of the hottest girls in his school agree to be his girlfriend. Furthermore, that same girl sent him a really cute photo of herself in his sweater, the sight of it was boiling in his mind as he felt his world fall apart. The cards were definitely not in his favor. . .  It was as if he was favored by some beauty goddess.
He may have said it before but he had to admit, if Yanagi asked him out too he would have said say yes in a heartbeat. Damn you, Yoshikawa! He cried out to himself on the inside.
”Y-Yanagi. . .” Miyamura started, “is that. . . (L/n)-san. . . ?”
Despite the obvious question, Yanagi gave him a confused look before flipping over his phone to look at this screen and crying out in surprise.
“O-Oh! Sorry, I didn’t remember that this was my wallpaper, hold on I can change it to something else,” he stumbled with his phone and quickly clicked onto a different image for his wallpaper. It was really embarrassing for him to accidentally leave a photo of you as his lock screen, especially one that you sent to him privately. He really hoped that the others in the group would forget about this accident but knowing them, it might never be erased from their mind. Yanagi silently apologized to you on the inside, a feeling of guilt washing over him as he held onto his phone.
After saving another photo as his wallpaper, he held up his phone once more to the group, “w-what about now?”
The group pressed their lips together as they stared at the new screen. Yanagi was still giving them an innocent smile, still oblivious to the situation.
Nothing has changed. . . They deadpanned.
Instead of a sweet photo of you in his sweater, it was when the two of you were on a lunch date on the weekend. You were holding onto Yanagi's phone, holding your signature peace sign as you smiled alongside him. On your table was a variety of sweets and desserts that you and he were able to buy from your part-time job and it looked as if the two of you were having the best times of your lives. As usual, the two of you dressed really nicely in the photos, almost as if you were models, Yoshikawa thought. The rest of the group blankly continued to stare at the photo, unsure of how to tell Yanagi that most of his photos on his phone might just be filled with just you.
Suddenly, the door drew open and a new pair of footsteps approached the table. You had your bag slung over your shoulders and you waved at the group with a soft smile, "what are you guys up to? The teacher held me back for some paperwork, did I miss anything important?"
Hori awkwardly cleared her throat, trying to lighten the mood, "we were just looking at each other's wallpapers!" You tilted her head in confusion as you heard her nervously laugh.
"I see! I bet a lot of you guys got a kick out of it," you commented, pulling up a chair that was on the side and sitting down next to Yanagi as you turned to Hori, "do you and Miyamura have matching wallpapers?"
She waved her hand around to dismiss the idea, "n-no! We actually have different wallpapers," although her tone of voice made it sound stiff, you decided to brush it off and pick out a package of bread you left in your bag. While there were only a few minutes left of lunch left, you wanted to be able to finish your food before class started. You picked at your bread in pieces, breaking it up and feeding it into your mouth as you listened to the group awkwardly try to avoid the scene from earlier.
Sengoku only sighed from underneath his lips as he crossed his arms over his chest, "anyway (L/n), do you also have any special wallpapers?" You looked up at him mid-eating and quickly swallowed your food, clearing your throat as you smiled.
"Yeah, I can show you guys right now," you slipped your hand into your back, pulling out your phone with a (f/c) keychain as you opened it. Yanagi began to nervously sweat, hoping that you don't find out that the rest of the group has seen the private image of yourself.
You turned your phone towards the group, all of their jaws dropping to the table as Yanagi covered his face. It was a picture of you and Yanagi on his bed, late at night after finishing your studies with him wrapping his arms around your waist, his face buried into your chest as he slept peacefully. It seems as if he had fallen asleep while holding onto you and you had taken that chance to sneak a photo. You stuck your tongue out, winking at the camera teasingly, fully acknowledging the fact that you had scored an S-tier hottie from the school.
"Do you not have any shame?!" Sengoku shouted, slamming his hand onto the table. You blew a raspberry towards him, rolling your eyes as the rest of the group sighed to themselves. You gave Yanagi a softer smile, sneaking a hand from underneath the table to intertwine with his while Hori and Miyamura tried to defuse the situation that you and Yanagi so cleverly started.
Maybe he could tell you next time about the photo. . .

Let's talk about the hori slander (horimiya)
me and my friend @iicekking have seen all over the place Hori slander for multiple reasons. I will go over these reasons in a second but i also want to establish the fact that this anime just came out and has only 10 available episodes. This anime is a romantic comedy.
The synopsis of this anime is that Hori-san is a popular, smart high school student, while Miyamura-kun is the complete opposite. Outside of school they run completely different lives. They meet for the first time outside of school when Miya helps return Hori's little brother home. He stays over and they eventually develop feelings for each other and go through an interesting relationship.
Now that you know what this anime/manga is about, lets go over the reasons why ppl think Hori is 'toxic' and 'homophobic'.
People are now coming to the conclusion that Hori is toxic in general because of her attitude towards Miya and the expression of her kink towards him. If you've seen the anime, you know that Hori has a specific kink. She likes being yelled at and she likes to be put in her place, sometimes even slapped. Just like a lot of people literally everywhere on social media. Especially here, on Tumblr, and TikTok (from what i'v seen). Miya sees this and tries his best to compromise and give her satisfaction from this and make her happy. People have stated that it was toxic for her to 'make' him do that when he cried after.
Let me get something straight. She did not make him do anything. She has asked him multiple times to slap her, to yell at her, and he has seen the way it affects her. He started to experiment with it, trying to find out what works best and when he should do it, and he comes to the conclusion that he only wants to do it in the bedroom.. She complies and agrees with him. They both compromised for this to work, so how is that toxic? How is it toxic that the experiment and find a way to work it out? It isn't. Experimenting with sexual kinks and finding out what both people want in bed is actually really good and a really healthy thing to do in a relationship.
Here is a link to another article that explains it so well and many other aspects of it: https://www.animefeminist.com/feature-horimiya-and-experimenting-with-kink-through-fiction/
Her attitude. Hori is a nice person to most people she doesn't know, but she shows aggression towards the people she loves, like Miyamura. This isn't abusive, and it isn't toxic that she is just being herself around him. She has never made him feel uncomfortable and has never once put herself before him in any way. She isn't selfish and she isn't greedy and she isn't a bad person. Her words aren't harsh towards him and her words don't even affect him in a bad light at all. He knows her, he fell in love with her, he knows how she works, what attitudes mean what.
Now let's talk about why people think she's homophobic. In the 10th episode of Horimiya, Hori has stated that she doesn't want Miya to fall in love with a guy while they are dating. Many people thinks that this means she's bi/homophobic. But let me just sprinkle some common sense before you come to the conclusion, okay? Hori and Miya are in a committed relationship, right? So of course she doesn't want him to fall in love with another and/or cheat on her. She feels insecure and jealous when he hangs out with his best guy friends- she feels as if she can't compete with them as well as she can with women. This isn't homophobic at all?? As a bi person myself, I don't take any offense and I don't think this request is weird. She doesn't want to lose him to somebody that she doesn't feel she has a chance to compete with. It's about insecurity and wanting all of Miya. Not in a possessive way, of course, she just wants him to love her with is whole heart, and he does, and he agrees with her, telling her that she won't lose her to a guy.
I am not interested in debating with people or starting arguments that you guys can't finish. I made my point, so please understand that I do not want any comments towards me or my friend that I tagged at the beginning of the post.
If anybody would like to add to my argument, not to slander Hori, but to show how Hori's actions are okay and not toxic, please reblog :)
anyways :) have a nice day/night remember to drink water and eat!

A little recommendation: Horimiya
This curious romance and slice of life manga is one of my favorites and I’m gonna tell you why all of you should at least give it a chance. Hori-san to Miyamura-kun is a Japanese shonen webcomic (something that might sound confusing since it looks more like a shoujo) written by HERO in a yonkoma format, very popular. Later it was adapted to a series of OVAs with the same name and finally, brought to the manga format in a spin-off illustrated by Daisuke Hagiwara.
The story follows to Hori Kyoko and Miyamura Izumi, who hide the life they have outside the institute from their classmates; Kyoko is the popular model student who comes to a house and becomes a young homemaker, while Miyamura, her classmate, is a normal guy, with glasses and usually called “otaku” because of his appearance, but he actually hides various piercings and it turns out that he is quite attractive and completely different from what Hori believed. One day, both get to know the face of the each other, and they promise to keep their secret life apart from their other companions. Now they both have a person whom they can show both sides of their life.
Tumblr media
The relationship begins as a simple friendship, someone with whom they don’t have to hide, with time they become closer and at some point  they happen to have a familiar and loving connection.
Tumblr media
Horimiya is a title that opens its pages with warmth and helps us to remember that masks are nothing more than that, masks, and that the true relationships are forged between people’s differences. Betting on a light and comical tone with some very hilarious situations, it also shows what can go deeper into what protagonists and secondary characters want to hide and achieving an incredible harmony between drama, romance and comedy.
Daisuke Hagiwara’s drawing is very pleasant to see, it’s characterized by being an expressive and dynamic style, which concentrates on the emotions of the characters. With fine and simple lines, the narrative opts for short sketches of large vignettes, which changes into a simple manga, with a direct style that engages and convinces. On the other hand, although the OVAs have a very different style, with an exaggeratedly simple animation, they perfectly summarize the first volumes. With hardly any facial expressions, visual details, fluidity of movement and with exaggerated colors, these four OVAs, although not comparable to what the manga is, achieve the tranquility that Miyamura transmits as the stress in which Hori usually live.
In short, Horimiya is a very good light shoujo that will conquer all lovers of the genre, and even those who are reluctant to this type of manga since it is not extremely romantic and cloying, it is a great option to read during the closure of the quarantine.

That acting to become
Tumblr media
Vol. 1 Review:
Everybody has a satanic force side they're concealing from every person else, as well as impressions can be horribly deceiving.
At college, Hori appears typical extremely, and reckless, but in the house, she uses no make up, kicks on tee shirts sweats as well as, and also clasps into taking care of her primary school-aged sibling. At college, every person believes Miyamura is just a miserable otaku, yet his gloominess is clearly concealing anything within the globe of 10 piercings and also tattoos, no fascination with numbers as well as anime.
While Miyamura (in the majority of his terrifyingly pierced charm) returns Hori's friend Souta to her residence as well as sees her basic, severe, and also makeup-free, their trip in shared solution-preserving-- in addition to their friendship in flexibility-- really begins.
A kid who's in deep love with Hori sees that Miyamura is skulking about together with her a lot more frequently; Hori's closest friend sees Miyamura in out-of-school design at Hori's house and also creates an enormous crush on "Hori's older cousin."
Despite the seriously romance-centric item, the read manga online consists of a various kind of feeling when compared to a big quantity of other love manga. To begin with, the tale's tone is a whole lot more than love within the globe of humor. Everybody who surpassed that "presenting" phase from senior college recognizes that acting to become somebody you're not is clearly fairly fascinating, recalling, which manga is incredibly alert to that.
Second, which allures substantially in my experience, is simply a starting from regular rom com manga plotlines and tropes. Miyamura thinks he's too miserable to become with Hori, so when she uncovers, she does not comfort him as well as maintain him as well as admit her love-- she obtains pissed off. "Do not pick to stay withit!" she informs him and also simply think stuff.
When I specified, read manga online's art-style is straightforward as well as light. Particularly, I really like words that Miyamura and also Hori create-- if something was a suitable indicator the history is suggested to become light hearted as well as amusing in the location of love as well as serious -motivated, the facial expressions are most likely it.
shingan no yuusha also will highlight the difference between just exactly how they are really as well as the means the lead characters appear: while Miyamura may be an usually brooding, solid shoujo love bad child, he's scatter-brained and also actually afraid and much better called "a derp" than anything. As well as Hori could be a normally awkward, hapless shoujo character, but she's a surrogate mom to her little brother, a difficult worker, and also will not date a beautiful child if he located her without makeup on considering that she sensibly understands he 'd panic.
In general, i kinda like it. read manga online is a light-hearted fresh and also comical love-- nearly a charming comedy. This will be just one of my favorite and also i'll remember it everytime i review manga online! Everyone who got past that
Tumblr media
Vol. 1 Testimonial:
Everyone has a satanic force side they're hiding from everybody else, as well as impressions can be terribly tricking.
At institution, Hori appears usual extremely, as well as reckless, but in the house, she wears no compose, kicks on tee shirts sweats and, and buckles right into dealing with her key school-aged sibling. At college, everyone thinks Miyamura is simply a miserable otaku, yet his gloominess is plainly hiding anything within the world of 10 piercings and also tattoos, no fixation with numbers as well as anime.
While Miyamura (in the majority of his terrifyingly pierced beauty) returns Hori's pal Souta to her residence and also sees her fundamental, severe, and makeup-free, their trip in common solution-preserving-- in addition to their relationship in flexibility-- actually begins.
A youngster that's in deep love with Hori sees that Miyamura is skulking about along with her a whole lot much more frequently; Hori's closest good friend sees Miyamura in out-of-school style at Hori's residence and also establishes a massive crush on "Hori's older relative."
No matter the seriously romance-centric item, the read manga online consists of a different type of feeling when contrasted to a huge quantity of other love manga. To start with, the tale's tone is a lot greater than love within the globe of wit. Everyone who got past that "posturing" phase from elderly school recognizes that acting to come to be someone you're not is plainly rather fascinating, looking back, which manga is incredibly alert to that.
Second, which appeals considerably in my experience, is simply a beginning with routine rom com manga plotlines as well as tropes. Miyamura assumes he's also miserable to become with Hori, so when she finds, she doesn't comfort him and also keep him and also admit her love-- she obtains pissed off. "Don't choose to remain withit!" she informs him and just assume things.
When I stated, read manga online's art-style is easy as well as light. Particularly, I actually like words that Miyamura as well as Hori produce-- if something was an ideal indicator the background is implied to become light hearted as well as funny in the place of love and serious -motivated, the facial expressions are probably it.
ai to yokubou wa gakuen de manga likewise will certainly highlight the distinction between simply how they are actually as well as the way the lead characters show up: while Miyamura could be a generally brooding, solid shoujo love bad young boy, he's scatter-brained and truly terrified and much better called "a derp" than anything. And also Hori could be an usually awkward, unlucky shoujo personality, but she's a surrogate mother to her little brother, a hard worker, and also will certainly not date a beautiful child if he discovered her without makeup on given that she sensibly understands he would certainly stress.
In general, i kinda like it. read manga online is a light-hearted fresh as well as funny love-- virtually an enchanting comedy. This will certainly be just one of my favored as well as i'll remember it everytime i check out manga online!
