Dragon Age Inquisition Original Game Score

A silly fun little project I've been working on for the past few months while I've been replaying Dragon Age Inquisition with my 1st timeline Inquisitor.

It always bothers me when video games get an official soundtrack release and it turns out to be somewhat lackluster. In DAI's case, the official soundtrack was missing some of the best pieces, while other tracks had been re-mastered in a strange way (adding extra instruments, removing instruments, and incurring many more victims of the loudness war).

So, I extracted some audio files from the game using Frosty Tools, and set about trying to rebuild a proper score tracklist. My goal was to aim for something that more closely adheres to the music that is actually heard in the game, using my own gameplay clips as reference for what plays when and in what order. With perhaps a bit of creative freedom for fun and whimsy.

Tracks assembled and edited in Mixcraft 9 Recording Studio. Tags edited with MP3Tag.

Now including scores for The Descent and Trespasser DLCs as well. Might do a "misc" album later on for the few tracks that didn't make the cut.

truly, there is simply no end to the pain and suffering i endure being the user of 7.1 surround sound headsets...

I am debugging some known weirdness with Mixcraft 9 cuz I wanted to, at some point, do a music prod / sound design stream involving it and uh. Woof. I've been able to confirm the issues I am having are exclusive to my 7.1 headphones. Meaning I would need to create an entirely different OBS profile AND scene collection if I ever wanted to do anything with Mixcraft 9 on stream. That also means that pivoting to it mid-stream is literally impossible without ending stream and restarting OBS.

I'd strongly consider switching off of Mixcraft 9 if it weren't for A. the huge library of premade loops and synth presets that I really like a lot, B. the fact that I already paid for it five years ago, and C. not having the money to pay for anything better right now... not to mention, what's to say I won't have a similar issue with another application?

I have all the vst plugin folders listed in the Plugins list in Preferences. I assume the "圆4.dll" refers to the vst3 file. But if I close Mixcraft and re-open it, it's gone. And there, it seems, is the ssl comp mono & stereo non-vst3 plugin. If I drag this file: WaveShell2-VST 12.1_圆4.dll, an application extension, not the vst file (see pic 3), then all the non-vst3 plugins load in the plugin fx list, underneath, or after, the regular vst list. Do you know where it's located? I've contacted Waves once about this, thought I had the answer, but didn't. I scanned my C drive for all vst2 files and found no waves ssl file.

I intend to test further and update an existing bug log on my findings as well. I think it worked at some point in an earlier beta test version of MX9, but I am not certain and have no way of going back and testing as I have deleted those versions some time ago to regain drive space.īut if I use the mono version, it seems to function as expected, and it seems to me the output is still stereo. I have observed that the stereo version currently does not work in the latest build(s). The reason I asked the specific question was an effort to confirm my own findings on this plug in. Waves plug-ins specifically seem to have a few titles that present some problems, and the Acoustica team has been communicating with the Waves team in an effort to sort some of this out at times. Support and feedback for Acoustica's Mixcraft audio mixing software. Trouble is, its sometimes different for different users systems. We have seen a few odd problems where certain specific plug ins behave oddly. I am a long time user and have been on the beta team for the last several versions.
