2. Who in the party would your character trust the most with their life?

Roman and Darcy. Possibly Roman slightly more considering she gambled her life on his ability to revivify her. 

16. If your character wasn’t whatever class they are, what would they be instead?

A ranger ? The skill set still suits her very well. I just pity whatever animal has to be her companion. 

23. If your character could go back in time and change one thing about their life, what would it be?

Yikes. She would probably do more to prevent her mentor’s arrest. That was the catalyst that led her to run away and changed her life completely. Though she would feel very conflicted about leaving behind her current party to do so. 

35. Why is your character’s lowest stat their lowest (the in-character reason, not “because there’s no reason for a wizard to have 16 strength, duh”)?

Eliza is big on striking from a distance and getting in and out of a conflict. She’s prioritized dexterity because she’s found being nimble and fast gets the job done with less wasted energy. Also she’s very waifish. Not a lot of bulk to her. 

70. What is your character’s biggest pet peeve?

Eliza is surprisingly big on manners despite her lack of respect for authority. She doesn’t care much for formal manners, but basic kindness and pleases and thank yous are important to her. 

90. Who is your character’s biggest rival?

Lol, Eliza is only competitive in the moment and only about stupid things. After Shin joined the party she considered him her strength rival despite the fact he could rip her in half and got offended whenever the party defaulted to asking him for help with muscle oriented tasks. 

100. What, currently, is your character the most curious about?

Eliza has a lot she’s curious about. She’s concerned with Roman and his whole “shadow beast thing” but she’s also real curious about It’s patron and if her boy needs some help in that department. She’s also recently become curious about Darcy’s situation because she really knows the least about Darcy.

1. What influenced or inspired the creation of this character? 

For Avi and Kai, I wanted to do the thing where I take a stereotypical character and reverse-engineer them to explain why they are the way that they are. Kai is the most obvious example of this, and it’s played for laughs a lot, but she is all justice-obsessed because she feels like if she had been good enough her big personal tragedy wouldn’t have happened, and she needs to attain justice for that by being as good as possible and it’ll all fall into place. That’s not how it has worked so far, but maybe she just has to be better.Whereas Manto was born more or less of the natural process of building the world, which the Star Wars group did collaboratively before starting the campaign. She’s basically a weird prophet, you say? She had to be hidden her whole life? That probably gave her a lot of Complexes huh

12. How does this character handle stress? 

Avi, Manto: Talk more, do more, act quick before the stress can catch up Kai: AngerJae, Ava: Actually works great under stress; gets more intense but that’s what makes it workBrynn: oh no okay so that didn’t work but what if this works? or would that make it worse? and what happens if a third thing happens or what happens if this person finds out and I don’t know if I have enough magic to actually get us out of this area and what if there’s ghosts there and–

16. If they could instantly kill one person in the world without consequence, who would it be? 

Avi: Our current Big BadKai: She thinks the answer is her mom but there’s no way she COULDJae: a very wealthy person whose identity she could assumeManto: No one, she is afraidAva: Whoever she’s fighting. And then she does kill them, and rarely faces consequences, so she’s had the power the whole time!Brynn: is anyone threatening one of her dads?

20. What is something this character is or could be addicted to? 

Brynn could get addicted to caffeine, but is probably too anxious for anything else. Ava, Avi, and Jae would be the most likely to get addicted to something – Ava to a stimulant, Avi and Jae to depressants.

🙁 What do they consider to be their worst quality? What actually is their worst quality? 

She thinks her worst quality is her indecision, which is fair, and her fear of more or less everything, which is much less fair because it doesn’t stop her anyway. Her actual worst quality is probably her naivete? and stubbornness around it. She’s going to burn herself out and get herself killed except her friends are keeping her upright and she doesn’t quiiiiiiite get that. She’s very smart but also very stupid.

💳 What one thing that they don’t need do they waste the most money on?

- books (during more normal times)- scarves (to give her dad who lives in the tropics)- raven-sized hats (self-explanatory)- trinkets from various places. She does not need these but you never know what’ll come in handy in the future

🍒 What are some items they always carry? What weapon do they favor using if they exist in a world where weapons are necessary? 

The only thing she ALWAYS has with her is her spellbook, but she’s also almost always got the Liminal Blade and, these days, at least one little trinket from home.

🍸 How do they act when they’re drunk? 

Much like the cast of Star Wars by the twentieth take, she just gets faster and more intense.

🔫 What would they die for? Kill for? 

What wouldn’t she die or kill for? (See question 1) She’ll kill to protect innocent people and she would kill or die to protect the people she cares about and there’s a LOT of those. She prefers not to outright murder people but when a bunch of dudes run at her trying to kill her she’s not going to worry too much about holding back.

💅 What are some things they have strong opinions about? 

Brynn is nervous about having strong opinions because she doesn’t want to be wrong which is hilarious because she HAS a lot of strong opinions anyway. Mostly social issues. People shouldn’t be dicks to other people and no one should be hungry in a world where you can literally CONJURE food. And why are there still nazis? We need to just get rid of the bad people. Get them all out of power. All of them. It’s that simple.

I’m never gonna do anything that cool again

12. Your in game inside jokes/memes/catchphrases and where they came from.

Oh boy there’s a lot uhhh the ones I can think of off the top of my head

- when we got ambushed by a bunch of snakes on a Saturday night and then all play had to stop as our long-suffering GM tried to get all the snakes out from under the carpet asset that she had placed, and the tension heightened with every second as we heard her stream of “hang on, I can’t get these snakes out. There’s more snakes. There’s another snake. Okay is that all the snakes? How many snakes are there… no there’s more snakes! hang on, I can’t get this snake out. I can’t get any of these snakes!”

- when Kai rolled to investigate a door but rolled a 2 and James said “you see that there’s a door” and Kai turned to the others, pointing to the door that we all saw, and said “There’s a door here.” Now it’s canon that she’s just extremely proficient at noticing and using doors, and she gets advantage on door-adjacent checks, which I think is a very generous way to dunk on me

- any roughly middle-aged NPC who isn’t trying to actively murder the party is Brynn’s dad by the end of the session

- Ari, one of our Star Wars characters, rolled absurdly well to just get into the walls of our spaceship, so now she just lives there and can navigate them basically at will. She’s such an icon I love her

FRIDAY: We’re a bunch of bad pirates, not bad as in dangerous but bad as in not good at it. We’re not actually pirates but that’s the writing on the wall because we’re out to get everyone because everyone is out to get us, also we’re all a bunch of mutated weirdos and I’ve read One Piece so I know how this goes. There’s Kai, justice-obsessed paladin with a chip on her shoulder, Annajane, a ratta wizard who throws peanuts at people to calm them down, Wah!, a jump bird who murders, Roderick, a dwarf who is remarkably calm given the circumstances, and Lucius/Atilan, a HUGE MESS EDIT: I forgot about Lithos, he’s there like half the time because he teleports at random

SATURDAY: We are Your Classic Adventuring Party. Alphabetically we got: Alder, a talkbard who does not fight and we still don’t really know who he is, Avi, a fightbard who wants to be a hero for all the wrong reasons, Eilynn, a sorceress who likes fireballs and her brother, Felan, a paladin who likes animals and his sister and he died once, Gad, a fighter halfling who talks, Liberio, a wizard who has like three dead bodies on him at all times, and Wybjorn, a fighter with a big sword and a big heart. We have also been joined by NPC Flii, a goblin ranger whose pets keep dying and I feel pretty bad about it honestly

SUNDAY: Here in the soul searching found family destiny road trip campaign we save gods and punch fascists! We got Talia, bard and mom-friend by default because her party members are goddamn idiots, Otto, cleric and dad-friend by default because he’s deeply emotionally invested in keeping the girls safe and alive and happy because of Backstory Reasons and also because he is 20 years older than the rest of us, and Brynn, Disaster Daughter and reluctant prophet who wants to fix the world all by herself but also not talk to anyone while she’s doing it.

STAR WARS (Intermittent): We’re just a bunch of grad students basically – we know really specific shit but can’t apply a lot of it, we have no money, we’re living out of our car. Here we have Ari, my personal hero and teenage rebel who lives in our walls and kicks horses into the sky, Brink, who is fed up all the time but we overrule him by being loud, Kev, the dadfriend and good natured about us insisting on calling him Kevin, Manto, who only loves one thing and it’s grenades, and Thoryn, who is trying really hard to make everyone their best selves which must be pretty disappointing for him because our best selves are still very bad

BARD TO THE BONE (Intermittent:) We’re just here to play music, guys, we’re not here to fight anyone, we’re just here to have a good time, but we are actually pretty good at fighting since you mention it. Band members include Avi, again, still wanting to be a hero for all the wrong reasons but this time with 100% more live music, Elba, extremely dramatic half-orc musician who puts her craft above all else, and Mel, a warforged who probably keeps everything they’ve stolen in a cool chest compartment like inspector gadget, and literally doesn’t have anything that they haven’t stolen, and neither does anyone else. There’s a fourth band member but we haven’t met him yet!

13)Does your character ever want to “settle down” with a spouse, children, house, etc.?

Whole bunch of nos across the board here with the exception of Ava, my brand new girl who doesn’t want that NOW but maybe in another forty to fifty years! For Brynn it’s an especially weird no because she does kind of want that someday maybe not that she’s thought too hard about it but it might be nice? but she’s not the least bit interested in settling down and raising a family that will all die before her. Kind of a bummer.

I’m gonna cheat here and just list the songs that are these characters’ theme songs because I’m pretty sure they’d like them if they heard them and boy do I like talking about theme songs

Ava: What do I do after this?Avi: What’s the biggest adventure?Brynn: um I’d rather not actually know about my future because a lot of the time those sorts of things turn out to be dramatic irony and also what if what I find out is bad and there’s no way to change it and anyway if seeing the future forced a bad timeline then there would be--Kai: Is there ever going to be a home to go back to?Manto: Do I live through this at all?

50)Who in the party would your character prioritize rescuing, in dire circumstances?

Ava and Brynn are in three-person parties; Ava’s whole job is to prioritize both of the others and Brynn isn’t someone who will accept prioritizing anyone. Thinking logically, Brynn ought to prioritize Otto because he can bring people back to life, and Ava should prioritize Tasha because while she can’t bring people back to life she has a pretty direct line to the people who can. But in character those things wouldn’t occur to them.Avi would prioritize Flii or Alder since they’re the least good in a fight and would probably need the most rescuing.Manto would prioritize Thoryn because he seems like he knows what’s going on half the time. Kai doesn’t actually know any of the other PCs right now so this is a weird one for sure, fortunately the correct answer is Berno

The ones who would wear perfume are Manto (for a disguise) or Ava (for fun). Ava would wear something floral and tropical, when possible. If Kai was willing to admit it she’d wear rose scent.

23) When engaged in an irritating conversation, how to they conduct themselves?

Ava and Avi would smile and let their voices get more and more cheerful even as their words became more and more aggressive. Manto would just leave. Brynn would worry that she was misinterpreting something and start talking too much. Kai would use violence as a first resort.

45) Who is their greatest confidant? Who confides in them?

Brynn and Pietru were both foundlings so they don’t know when their birthdays are, and Pietru does not know what day he found Brynn because things were pretty Rough at that point, so instead of birthdays they do Foundling Day and I was gonna say they do it on the anniversary of the day Pietru was found, but I think now as I write this that they just pick a random date every year because that feels like the kind of shit they would do.
