The muse I want to add is Milosz Sulejmani, the main rival ace antagonist in Ace Combat: Joint Assault, released for PSP. I never played the game and I think none of my mutuals have played it (it’s considered a kind of forgotten game and a minor entry in the series, so I won’t care about spoilers), but I’ve been watching LPs of it.

Sulejmani is a character that interested me because of how much potential he had to be a great rival - but the game drops the ball by only revealing his backstory in the final part of the final battle.

He was supposed to be in the same team as the protagonist, Antares, but defected to the enemies simply because he offered to them more money. And, in the end, after his wingmen are shot down by Antares, he goes crazy and he reveals that he was sold by his parents when was a kid and became a child soldier - he learned the people he killed, the more he was paid, so he became a person obssessed with money.

Since the code makes him throw random lines, either “I have a nice view from here” or just mad laughter, his last worlds are, by fandom standards, to be “I will buy back what I lost that day my parents sold me... MY HONOR... MY PRIDE... MY LIFE!!!”

Plus, he had a great theme song, I’ll post in the next post, I feel his theme says more about him than the story in the game itself.

He’s more remembered because of the physically impossible maneuvers his airplane could, but a good part of the fandom thinks he’s a strong, if underdeveloped character, and I wanted to develop him more.

Again, due to the rather unknown niche of the game, I do wonder if it’s worthy.
