He does well inillustrating the fucking insanity of the Church and TECHNICALLY he's fulfilled his role but I WANT M O R E !!! On one hand my characterisation of him meshes well with the wider interpretation but at the same time I am so picky and will throw a FIT over peope getting minor, subtle details wrong in a fic. In private, ofc~ I'm not a fucking cock, lmao.

Artorias: Artorias is a beautiful illustration about the simultaneous all-giving and yet hollowness of Lordran's valour. He has offered himself, blood, flesh, body and soul, for the protection of this realm, and it has consumed him. Everything about him, everything that made him who he was, gnawed off to this end.

I'm a bit iffy on the concept of, "oh, you actually saved Oolacile all along :) Lmao Artorias took credit. What a punk." I know I'm being facetious, but that's kinda what it feels like. It feels... Inserty, y'know? Our purpose, if any, is to link the Flame-- And it's not ours alone. That's what I like about Dark Souls, and Fromsoft games in general; it didn't have to be you. It was not preordained that you, O' player, would fix shit and save the day. There were others that came before you, greater in magnitude. And yet, that doesn't matter. You pick up the pieces. You sweep the ashes. You make bed for change.

Also I headcanon him as having a more North African bent to him. I think it goes well with his palette and the sun-themeing, and also I love projecting~ (mixed babes keep winning!)

What should I say, I just love true villains :3 Maybe Mico is silly, funny and pathetic when we meet him in game but we shouldn't forget what makes him VILLAIN. It is really tempting adding more "human" traits to favorite evil characters. And it's not bad thing, because in fact no one is 100% good or bad. But people forget that adding too much good traits and excusing characters for their actions mostly makes villains not villains anymore. And in some cases they even lost reasons to be beloved character and if you would found out about the character after fans' "modifications" you wouldn't liked them. I think everyone fall into this trap (including me sometimes). Otherwise we wouldn't got movies like Maleficent or Cruella. And honestly Maleficent is not bad movie if you are looking at it as completely separate and alternative story from Sleeping Beauty. And I didn't even watch Cruella, because it was enough for me to hear that she hates dogs because they did something bad? I don't remember what was that but seriously, excusing snoby bitch who literally wants to kill innocent puppies??? Really??? Some people are just vicious. And Cruella is this kind of people.

So, back to Micolash, I think he shouldn't be excused in any cases. Not after what we saw in Yahar'gul. Yes, he is indeed pathetic in the Nightmare and all he can do is mocking at the Hunter, doing arcane tricks, and "fighting" with fists (very weak). But what was doing absolutely wasn't funny and innocent. We should remember about all the elements which make up the plot and the nature of the character. Excusing actions is not the only way to make the character deep. Of course this is only my personal opinion! I don't dictate to anyone to abandon their opinions, fics, fanarts, headcanons etc. The most important thing in fandom is having fun, not starting some stupid argues and wars.

I just love villains and I love when they don't lost reasons to call them EVIL ehehe

1. Ludwig the accursed / The holy blade

Pristine gameplay, cool lore, spectacular music, the PRESENTATION in both cutscenes?? Truly doesn't get better than this.

2. Father Gascoigne

Thee best tutorial boss in the series don't @ me. This bossfight marks the moment i fell in love with BB <3 Also we don't talk about his daughters' quest.

3. Lady Maria

Peak tragic fromsoft character. The way each phase blends into the next one as she gets more and more desperate to stop you is amazing both gameplay-wise and from a characterization perspective. Also i am gay for her.

4. Artorias

Hey it's the blorbo in law! Another peak tragic character, plus this fight is soo fun <3 Very challenging but never unfair and soo fast-paced, my man living in ds3 while everyone else is stuck in ds1.

5. Ornstein & Smough

The way fromsoft created the perfect double bossfight in the first dark souls and then went "aight that's it. you're never getting this level of quality again lol". Slay.

6. Darkeater Midir

Finally a good fucking dragon fight...... but also shoutout to my beloved Kalameet, like ik midir is objectively better but i love kalameet and felt bad not mentioning him :(

7. Mohg lord of blood

8. Great shinobi Owl

Tbh it's a toss-up between him and Genichiro but ultimately i have to give points for parricide big fan of parricide <3
