okay so if Arthur/John got a wooden finger when they gave their pinky to the forest, does that mean the trader gave his hands/arms to the woods? Is that why he was so set on trades? Literally eye for an eye arm for an arm, did he give so much of himself away that he literally became part of the forest (allowing him to burrow down during the dark periods)

I love how I thought the eldritch goat of the woods (I do not for the life of me know how to spell that name) was gonna be the big bad but then I learn that nope the rituals acrually already happened and been taken care of by this character you find dead and now it’s the king in yellow whoops! But the king in yellow is John and now we’re in a dreamland that has nothing to do with anyone so far?

is this kinda how it goes or is it like tma in the sense that the monster of the week ness resolves into one (or 14) big enemies?

okay so right now I kind of don’t like Arthur that much but I really really like the role reversal of Arthur now being very focused on survival (to the detriment of others) and John waiting to save people. Of course I want Arthur to move forward from this, but it’s actually a really neat change in his character that happened really slowly and honestly I understand why it happened.
