ok something I guess i should tackle first with summer dreams is the Big Issue with data reincarnation. it'll make other things easier later ig
so this is basically my explanation as to why a digimon like wizardmon (dies in the 01 myotismon arc) couldn't reincarnate, while a digimon like whamon (dies AFTER during the 01 dark masters arc) was able to reincarnate in time for 02
the short answer is that the digimon who died in the real world got trapped as force data ghosts due to an imbalance in the worlds, while all other deaths only had to wait for the re-balancing of primary village
the longer answer is that the real & digital worlds were unbalanced from the beginning. we know this lmao. defeating myotismon in 01 Did Not Fix That. the worlds were still unbalanced. Therefore, for the next 4 years, data ghosts of myotismon's forces would appear all over Odaiba, growing powerful every anniversary.
The 2 worlds are put into balance at the end of 02 when they stop the dark ocean from enroaching on their turf & calm the occurrences of digimon getting isekai'd & wreaking havoc on christmas. with the defeat of malomyotismon, this would finally allow all the trapped data to return to the digital world & turn into digitama
though they'll probably still have to take another year or so bc I like making them wait <3 (also bc I'd like to explore the existence of these ghosts while the humans are aware of digimon)

Tuesday I was back in the garden after six weeks resting my arm. I spent a lot of the day watering and the rest of the day I spent hard pruning the pelargoniums in pots around the house. (Below, right is before, left is after my pruning.) My growing collection of pelargoniums, currently in the glasshouse, is coming along nicely too. I’m looking forward to really making this something Mme and hopefully others will enjoy.

I went to physio in the evening and this time he brought out a new machine. He just said ‘courage’ before he started hammering away at my tendons. I then met up with Dee and Ilze for nibbles and aperos at L’Hôtel Le Relais du Postillon in Place des Martyrs de la Résistance in the centre of the old town.
Wednesday I continued watering and pruning and went through all the seeds I had put into cold stratification. Only the Quercus acorns worked; all of them had a nice root. Not sure if the seeds weren’t viable, if I had the sand too wet, or just what went wrong. I planted up the Magnolia virginiana seeds anyway, just to see if anything germinates. The rest were duplicate Euonymus that I have outside, none of which are germinating yet.

Thursday I noticed a small Cercis siliquastrum blooming along the driveway. I cleaned out the drains, I completed feeding and cutting back the pelargoniums around the house. I had a walk through the new prairie area with M. and we discussed the proposed meadow area. Hopefully Couli will rotovate that tomorrow or early next week. I headed up to Nova to buy a Westringia fruticosa to plant along the driveway. The entire stock was quite poor, I found one on sale and will nurse it at home before planting it. I also had a quick coffee with Luc who lives not too far from Nova. It rained on the way to my physio appointment. In the evening I made another batch of marmalade.

I’m very excited to see Jeffrey from Amsterdam this weekend. Unfortunately, the weather looks like it has decided to finally give us some rain that we have been needing all winter.
Friday Jeffrey arrived just after noon and we headed directly to lunch in baie des Anges. It was a beautiful day to enjoy lunch looking at the boats in the marina. Then we headed back to the domaine and I gave him a tour of the garden I work in and we walked to the top to see the great views. That evening we headed into Antibes where we enjoyed a nice Italian dinner followed by hat-wearing frivolity at the Absinthe Bar.

Saturday morning we both were taking it very easy. It was a grey, drizzly day, which made the sofas all the more inviting. Eventually we got in the car and headed to Nice. It was a nice afternoon.
That evening we made fajitas at home, and just watched TV. We both were happy to have a quiet night.
Sunday we took a walk around the Sentier du Littoral, Cap d'Antibes. He flew home in the evening.
