@hisarchenemy asked,   Who’s your all-time favorite muse, even if you don’t play them anymore?   meme / unseen muse questions!
i mean honestly??? favorite is a hard one for me, for sure. i’ve had a lot of muses over the years but moriarty is definitely one of the ones i’ve more consistently returned to- which is a little weird considering very few things about the blog were ever consistent (audience wise) except- he’s always been very well accepted and i’ve always received high praise for him. that’s always meant a lot to me, because he’s kind of a tricky muse, a whole lot of attitude and not a lot of feeling.
but- i don’t rly want to use this to just talk about about a bbc sherlock related muse bc that seems too predictable, instead, i want to approach smthn else... so you and i personally have discussed oc’s a lot lately bc there’s a lot of oc’s in the sherlock fandom; and i do have one oc that’s stuck with me over the years.
ahem
jo, joelle howlett, bare bones pinterest board here. mutant, referred to as grizzly- a 6′5 half-indigenous indian woman whos mutations are unusually high bone density, being triple-jointed, and the same regenerative healing factor that makes her father, wolverine, so famous.
jo was born to kayla silverfox, wolverine’s lover he’d settled with back in the 60′s (both comic and x-men mcu canon). kayla, also a mutant, but with much quieter empathic telepathy type abilities, gave birth to jo in government captivity and was never given the opportunity to socialize with her daughter. she died soon after in midst of william stryker using her to try and herald power over logan (wolverine). in the scramble, many of the mutants being kept in the facility escaped and fled into the canadian wilderness.
if it hadn’t been for her healing abilities, joelle probably wouldn’t have survived the first few years of her life. at age five, she’s left not only homeless but without any a guardian of any kind until victor creed (sabretooth, logan’s half-brother, her biological uncle) steps into her life.
joelle grows up just barely a person. the first decade of her life is spent in the woods, hunting and killing with her bare hands, trailing after victor, who she’s wary of at best. related as they are, it’s much more of a pack bond that forms, surviving together through necessity, as victor isn’t someone who knows how to be soft.
time passes, she becomes more accustomed to society and the idea of it. by mcu canon, she’s a grown woman in her 50′s who’s broken away from victor and is traveling on her own. jo only really starts to question her parentage/heritage much later after she accidentally brings attention to herself when crossing the border to america in montana (near the blackfeet indian res) and almost immediately she finds herself being hunted.
oof
oh and i was last using jessica matten as her fc, a canadian indigenous actress;
