you're so right about minhyuk pulling off all hair colors!! I'm really excited to see what all of their hair colors will be for the comeback. I did like when they all had black hair though as well for one of a kind because they look good in anything 😊 I would also love to see him with grey or even like a pretty silver I think it would suit him so well, but I think maybe it'll be a dark brown this time
I completely agree with all the parts you listed, he really makes his lines HIS if that makes sense. I think my favorite is his parts in mercy, and also gambler, I just listened to it for the first time in a while the other day and realized how good he sounds!!

thank youuu hope your week has been going well too! :D we had a holiday party for work yesterday and i actually had a lot of fun, i only started my job at the beginning of this year and don't often get to work or talk with many people outside of my direct team so it was nice to get to be a bit more social than usual hehe
omg you're so right, that was so sexy of them when they all did the black hair!! it will be fun to see what everyone settles on, i'm really looking forward to the photo teasers. and the whole comeback ofc... what will they deliver for us this time!! what's the concept!!
and yes absolutely, i feel like his lines are always so distinct and memorable even from back in the days when he would only maybe have one or two in a song. he sounds Especially good in their recent discography though.. you're sooo right about mercy, when i first heard that song i wanted to kiss hyungwon so bad he's such a genius and minhyuk's parts do sound soo good!!
minhyuk solo project.... my DREAM!!! actually what i'd really love from him is Ballads!! i think it's both where his voice thrives (king of mask singer, i'm still thinking about you every day!! also his first cover, and many of his fancafe covers), and since it's also the type of music he tends to listen to and enjoy. i think music like lim young woong's would really suit him..... also would love to see minhyuk venture more into trot because every time he sings a bit, even when he's just messing around, i'm like ?!!! it sounds so good!!!!!!!!
really though i'd be happy with any solo projects he would decide to do!! it could be SO fun if he chose to do something with more of a pop style, although i can't envision that as well.. it's so fun seeing how each of the members has such a unique personal style when it comes to their solo projects and i'm very excited to see how that will develop for shownu, hyungwon, and minhyuk as hopefully they get a chance to do more solo work as well!!

I think you're right that they are the only group who've all been radio hosts! it does take so much charisma and being super well-spoken. they're very impressive as a group, definitely a bunch of all-rounders!
wanted is so good! I stumbled upon it randomly, it is such a shame it doesn't get much promotion. if I'm not mistaken that entire album wanted was on was about a month before one of a kind so definitely no promotion despite the music being SO so good! I tend to listen to a group's entire discography once I become a fan, so even the ones I missed I feel really attached to. helps that everything is so good :)
omg you're so right, the hair he had for fighter was SO so cute. he does look amazing with darker hair, I also love when it's kind of in the middle (like a latte color!) he just suits all hair colors <3

hi hi!! i'm so sorry for the late reply i have been having so many issues with my laptop lately it's crazy 😭 everything's fixed right now but fingers crossed it stays fixed!! but otherwise my weekend was really fun, i went out to a party with some friends and now it's the last full week of work before the holidays :D hope you had a great weekend too!!
i think you're right abt that japanese album being released right before a korean one.. and since it was during covid times they really didn't get a chance to go to japan to promote it :'( a shame truly!! and YEA that makes sense.. i wish i could listen to so many of their songs for the first time again!!

favorite minhyuk parts omg. that is definitely a harder question and i know i'm gonna leave so many out but here are some ones that i vividly remember pooping myself a little the first time i heard them, gonna put them under a readmore bc this ended up rly long
this one is short but his 'come ooOOooOoooOOON' in rush hour
no reason.. any of his parts literally. wonho was so great at giving him parts that suited him and i loove how his high notes sound in this song
kiss or death there's this one bridge before the final choruses and his voice just sounds so angelic i don't know how to describe. 2:32
it aint over before the last chorus where he IT AINT OVER TIL ITS OVERRRRR i mean i know that line is in the lyrics a lot but he BELTS it out right before the last chorus and it actually stopped me in my tracks when i was listening to mx on shuffle a few weeks ago. stole the whole song
by my side minhyuk opening this song was sooo iconic
if only.. again wonho was sooo good at writing parts that suited minhyuk's higher notes (imo) the whole song he sounds rly good
honorable mention it wasn't even his part originally but that live performance of U R you know the one.. when minhyuk belts that chorus... bro
second honorable mention to his king of masked singer performances because everytime i listen to them i feel insane like how are people not banging down his door begging him to sing their ballad OSTs......

hello again, happy christmas!! 🥰🎄🎁 I hope you've been having a really lovely day and that you guys are staying safe in the storm!
my plans were just to spend time with family, we had a bigger get together the other day so today was just a relaxing time. got to watch christmas movies and things like that 😊

ahh thank you merry christmas to you as well!! it was a good day with family and looots of food. and the weather (and roads!) are starting to improve as well :D my parents got a new kitten a few weeks ago so we've also been busy bonding and playing with her 🐱

good morning, happy wednesday!! 😊 I've been doing well, been super busy because of the holidays! are you doing anything fun to celebrate?
I love your idea for a minhyuk solo, he's got such an amazing voice I would love to be able to experience an entire ep or even a full album where he gets to have lots of creative input! I think he would definitely thrive with a good base of ballads and mix in some other genres as well, I think he would suit anything tbh 😁 he's so versatile and his tone is so so good! personally I would also love to see him be included in the actual album design part as well since he's so artistically-inclined. even just having the cover be one of his artworks or something like that would be awesome

hellooo! i've been super busy the last few days too! i drove back to my parent's house yesterday, there's a huge winter storm/blizzard happening rn so i left really early and managed to beat any of the bad weather!! i'll just be celebrating christmas with my family but probably won't have a chance to do much else because the whole week is supposed to be extremely cold :-( what type of plans do you have?
omg YES i would love to experience more minhyuk creative input. i still think it's such a shame that they didn't use his artwork for the main version of shape of love (especially considering how bland the actual cover art they chose was 💀) and i feel like he could really shine as a lyricist too, the way he writes is often pretty poetic! he really could pull off so many music styles and genres, i hope we get a chance to see it happen 🥺
favorite artwork!! hmm.. personally i love when he personalizes his items, like when he did his vlog about painting that green bag! also this jacket!!
Also i really love his doodles!! they have a distinct style and i think they're so cute (and look really good? wish i could just doodle and have it look like that)

I think my favorite b-sides would be underwater, heaven, gasoline, flow and nobody else. it's actually hard not to just list like 20 songs I have SO many in my playlist for them 😭 love killa is also my favorite title track no matter how many times I hear it it's still EXCELLENT. wanted and gambler are another two of my faves <3 I think I tend to be a fan of the newer eras a little more because I was here for them

yes definitely!! and they all have so many talents, even aside from the members who compose they've all contributed to lyrics etc!! and it still blows my mind that they all (excluding shownu 🥲) were radio hosts like.. that takes such charisma!! i feel like i've never seen another group where all the members have done that (although i could absolutely be wrong). and then put it together into one group.. amazing!
omg good taste!! i love wanted (and most of their japanese titles) so much too, i wasn't even thinking of those.. it's a shame they don't get more promotion or even a choreography video!! but yes that makes sense about liking the ones you were a fan for, i feel that way about other groups i like. especially when they have soo much discography like mx does, i would think it would be challenging to catch up on it if you were to become a fan now between their korean and japanese and english discographies.. and solo work.. favorite minhyuk era omg!! i'm opposite i tend to lean towards his darker hair, i think for me it's probably fighter for little reason other than sentimentality.. when i became a fan it was right after fighter era so that was a lot of the videos/content i consumed first and i thought he was so cute, especially bc it was his first time having dark hair after debut!! just a cute little brown bowl cut... also this isn't even an era (but it is in my mind) but at the very end of 2019 when he dyed his hair dark again and cut it short.... literally obsessed with that. he looked so sexy in the airport photos but then during vlive he looked baby?? it lives in my mind rent-free

omg six years!! that feels like such a long time, I've been a fan of them for a little more than 2 years. loved them from the first song I heard (follow 🥰) and my bias has also been minhyuk the whole time but I love them all they've got so much talent <3

in some ways it feels like such a long time but on the other hand time feels like it's gone sooo fast! and omg hello fellow minbebe 🥺 i love them all too!! it's definitely what's kept me into monsta x for so long because it's really rare for me to actually like all members of the group so much. it's been great the last few years getting to see them all begin to thrive so much individually now too!!
favorite mx songs.. oh boy!! for b-sides it's gotta be see you again, underwater, miss you, #gfyl, no reason... they've (mostly) all got this yearning/sentimental energy that i really like for some reason!! for title track it's 100% love killa though, it actually surprises me that i never got sick of it with how much i've listened to it but somehow i think it just continues to grow on me with time. it's so good!! and i love the mv too i think it was so clever
favorite era though.. hmm!! it's hard but probably dramarama or alligator, i have super fond memories of both as dramarama was their first win and that time was just filled with those good vibes, and alligator had their first public broadcast win and the song was doing well on the charts :') there's so many good eras! but i definitely miss the earlier years where promotions went for months rather than the two weeks they are now :( it feels like they barely start before they're over!

omg yes i did so much christmas shopping online recently with all the sales and now i get the serotonin of waiting for all the packages to arrive :D
i got into mx at the beginning of 2017 so it's been almost 6 years now O__O i had seen shownu on some variety shows and i thought his personality was just so unique and charming that i decided to watch some monsta x videos and i got hooked on them so fast!! it was around the time the first season of mxray (💖💖💖) was just starting so i think that was also a big part of what really got me into both mx and the fandom :')
and yes from the start minhyuk's been my number one boy!! i thought he was so cute (especially back during their first year or two of debut) and i loved his energy like he was just so excited to have debuted! to be in a group! but i love now how much he's settled into himself and gotten a chance to do so many of the things he wants to do. love him
