tried to read wfrau as i saw people rec it, but there's something bothering me in that fic. i don't like the alpha-male-ification of remus in wfrau. remus is not a beast who can fight another beast werewolves. he was a timid, sheltered boy in canon, but it's like you're making him fit into the fanon toxic wolfstar heteronormative box. it feels weird to read. please don't make me start on why it seems like you hate sirius OR use sirius as a self-insert to indulge in your fetishization of remus. like why do you write sirius as abused, when it was canonically remus who was disabled. can you consider rewrite some points in the fic, aligned to canon?

lmao where do i even start with this. uhhhhh okay first of all to answer your question - no, i will not be rewriting to make my non-canon-compliant fic more compliant with canon. if you don't like it, i suggest you don't read it! i'm not writing the story for you, and i'm not really sure why you think it would matter to me whether you like it or not. there are plenty of other fics out there that you can go read.

this fic was explicitly written to be a werewolf-fighting ring au. if you don't like remus fighting other werewolves, then i'm baffled as to why you even started it in the first place, considering that it's clearly tagged "werewolf fighting ring." i don't agree with your interpretation of canon that he was a "timid, sheltered" boy; even if i did, this fic is specifically exploring how the characters would be different in an au, non-canon-compliant version of their world. if the gay romance between two men is too heteronormative for you, there are, again, other fics out there that you can read. and if you don't want to read about "toxic" relationships then u DEFINITELY shouldn't read this fic, because none of the relationships in it are wholesome and healthy lmao. if you think i hate sirius...i don't even know what to say lol. like yeah i hate him so much that i've written hundreds of thousands of words of fanfiction about him. that checks out! and remus is fetishized in this fic for being a werewolf, which is a topic that gets explored in-depth in his pov chapter and is not something condoned by the narrative. i'm assuming you didn't read that far, though, and that what you mean by "fetishization" is the fact that sirius finds him sexy. so. again, i think you probably should just not read this fic if characters being sexually attracted to each other bothers you. i write sirius as being abused because that's the story i wanted to tell; not really sure how remus being canonically disabled is something that would cancel that out? those are two separate things. and remus's canonical disability is his lycanthropy, which....also exists in this fic. and is another topic that gets explored throughout the story.

in conclusion i truly cannot emphasize enough that i am not the person out here reccing this fic, i am not trying to grow an audience or go viral or any of that bullshit. not sure where you got the rec from, but i have actually asked people not to post about my fics on tiktok to try and avoid them blowing up there, because i do not want people like you reading them. i include an entire warning on the first chapter about the fact that this fic is dark and deals with heavy topics; i've tagged the fic thoroughly and have also included "additional tags to be added" to remind people that it's a wip and things are subject to change. all this is to emphasize -- i really, really, really don't care if any person reading the fic dislikes it. i don't care if they dislike it so much that they have to stop reading, because i don't care how many people are reading it in the first place!! i'm writing this story purely for fun, for myself, so i'm going to write what i want to write. even if you intended for this message to be polite, it just comes off as incredibly entitled to ask a stranger on the internet to spend hours of time and labor tailoring a story to your specific tastes, and if you think this type of message is okay to send then i think you should genuinely sit down and reevaluate the way you approach fandom. nobody is making you read fics you don't like, so just....don't read them.

Am I the only one who kinda got the impression the anon was looking for people who DO like Harry Potter so they could avoid them tho? Just cause I’ve seen several people get that ask and say “jkr gets a no from me chief” and then the anon seems to go away? I don’t see anything else about it at least. the problem with trolls is that when taken by themselves in isolation, they generally seem pretty sincere or at least non-threatening. the vibes only start to stink when the coincidences add up, and my blog attracts a LOT of trolls that look innocuous on the surface but use the same tactics over and over (which is why sometimes I look like a mean bitch out of nowhere to some anons but not others; I promise I do have a criteria to go off of lol).

also here's why I personally disagree with your theory: what kind of obnoxious pest goes around a fandom anonymously asking if these fandom blogs also enjoy a completely different, unrelated fandom that they've never mentioned or given any indication of enjoying before, just to avoid them? like... what? just ask if they like HP, because no one who isn't willing to that already will answer their hogwarts house. maybe I'm giving them too much credit but that seems kinda absurdly roundabout.

Not necessarily a peeve but more of a turn off, but I really don't like it when someone has the repeat energy of 'No one would want to rp with me, I don't see why I bother,' 'Did anyone miss me? No? Okay' etc. It probably sounds petty of me, but I don't like it. It dismisses the efforts of those who have been trying to connect to you, and I come onto tumblr to have fun, so I don't want to come here and feel bogged down. The energy actually disheartens me and brings my own mood down because I end up sympathizing with them too much. For the sake of my own mentality, I end up distancing myself.

muse preference ( fluff, angst, smut ) — I enjoy fluff and angst a lot. Smut... depends... on the muse... and relationships... and how comfortable I am with the mun. I'm big shy in general so it can take time to warm me up to talking about smut in regards to muses. Once I'm used to talking to you about it and i'm comfortable with you, i'm pretty open about it. Truly, I'm big on troll humor though, so crack humor kinda threads really have my heart. If you wanna talk smut with me, you gotta be the one to bring it up because 99.5% of the time, it won't be me bringing it up first.

plot or memes — Plots, as some of us know that i'm not very keen on memes as my relationship with the inbox is not positive. Still working on it though, one blog at a time. Memes are fun when i'm in the mood for them. This goes for reblogging them or sending in to people.

long or short replies — Both are fine with me, and both are great in their own right. Long ones are nice as they give you a lot to explore but it also takes a while to reply to and it can tire me out. Short threads are short and simple. They're nice, and then you get me being suddenly inspired and whoops- suddenly it's a long thread. (short replies = 3 paragraphs in my mind).

best time to write — I'm finding myself to be more active in the night hours, so the PMs. I do tend to be high inspiration in the AMs, but i'm usually at work or low energy. So that's when I spend the time thinking of what i'll write and then stow those ideas for when I do have the energy.

are you like your muse?: I've been told that I'm very much like Haru, and it's mostly in some habits, i'd say. Haru is a way better human than I am. Fit for life. I, a dehydrated prune is not fit for life. We both share our troll heart, our tendency for conspiracy thoughts, dramatics, speaking in third person and such. I'm sorry but I don't get why people are angry about Bruno winning AOTY? It's not like some mediocre white dude or girl won it. He puts in work and is literally one of the most amazing live performers. That album is still getting hit singles a year later - none of the other albums up for awards are doing that lol. As much as I love some of the songs on Damn, it's not Kendrick's best album, so people need to stop acting like he changed the world with it. Humble slaps but that's really it.

bc honestly I'm truly struggling to understand like....I hate it when ppl go "yall just want something to be mad about" but fr I think folks just want something to be mad about!! I keep seeing the SPICIEST hot takes about bruno when we all know damn well he's done nothing but give credit where credit's due! From the beginning!! Even back when he was still making those dreary ass love songs. Now that he's getting success for all this I think its got ppl shook and noooow they got something to say but lbr here....half the ppl upset now were fighting tooth and nail to prove he was black up until this year 💀. 24K is a brilliant album and ppl keep downplaying it like they weren't calling 24k magic the first best song of 2017 back when it came out.

I've said this before but if ppl are HAPPILY allowing folks like post mortem and g eazy mac and rich chigga/brian (which I'm STILL screaming about oh my goood) into black genres even tho they're all blatantly trash and/or openly racist, but have a problem with bruno then....perhaps its bc some of them feel threatened? Idk.  no one is afraid all those nonblack uglies are going to become respectable big names in rap but I think ppl are genuinely scared bruno could take over r&b and thats why this happens every time he wins an award :/. idk its rly not that deep and maybe if we bigged up black artists that dont make slow dreary ass music like hm idk khalid then perchance this worry would be alleviated.
