Above are few of the most respected and well earning professions in India. Yet women do not constitute more than thirty percent of their workforce. Although more and more girls are pursuing university degrees, the number of women in leadership roles in any field remains stagnant for the past few decades.

This disparity increases along with the age of the employee, for most women leave their careers at the age of 30-35 - the prime of their careers- owing to their commitment to childcare and homemaking. A stark reality for most women in south asian households is that they are pressured to leave work to take care of their ailing in-laws. Once the child is old enough, or after the death of the in-law, the long gap in resume does not allow women to earn as much as their male counterpart.

To advance women in a capitalistic society, the resource pool must be colonized by women --especially women in highly misogynistic societies. The capital earned by women will act as a partial sheild to protect them from the evil of men.

The most vulnerable woman in the present world is a woman without capital-without any money or property to their name. The feminist focus should be fighting for women's right to own property, for obtaining equal share in their father's property, and for the wife to have as much share in her spouse's property as her children.

Along with this, female reservation for high posts in BOTH public and private departments should be our goal. A greater percentage of women in the three bodies of law is crucial for female advancement. Solidarity between the female social class in terms of financial resource sharing must exist. Female entrepreneurs should source their raw material from female vendors and employ more women. Female separatism should be practiced at a financial level as well.

A lot of radical feminists support socialism and so do I. Inspite of this, we survive in a capitalist world. The poorest of women cannot advance through socialism because the current system is designed for men. Before the radical change is brought, we should strive for the betterment of lives of women living under this system which can only be brought by women hoarding capital amongst the female class.

However, the ME has not said anything about how much of the benadryl and prozac were in nex’s system. prozac is a commonly described SSRI. benadryl is an over the counter allergy medication. according to drugs.com (a site that lists the effects of combining medications) , “Using diphenhydrAMINE (benadryl) together with FLUoxetine (prozac) may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, and difficulty concentrating. Some people, especially the elderly, may also experience impairment in thinking, judgment, and motor coordination.” It lists nothing about risks of overdose or death. while it theoretically could happen, it would take a LOT to overdose on benadryl or on prozac. It would take roughly 10 milligrams of Benadryl per pound of the person’s weight to overdose at lowest estimate. Benadryl comes in sizes of 12.5 milligrams and 25 milligrams. considering the average weight for a 16 year old afab person is about 118.7 lbs, nex would’ve had to take roughly 1,187 milligrams of Benadryl to even have the chance for death. nex would’ve had to have taken 95 12.5 mg chewable tablets or 48 25 mg capsules/tablets. just for the Benadryl alone. fatal amounts of prozac are more difficult to figure out. according to healthline, a dose as low as 520 mg has been fatal, but there is record of someone taking 8000 milligrams and surviving. To be safe, let’s go with the average of the two numbers: 4260 milligrams. Prozac typically comes in 10,20, and 40 mg capsules, though there is a 90 mg delayed release option and tablets in 10, 20, and 60 mg options. there’s no way of knowing which one of these Nex was prescribed or how much. but it is highly unlikely that this sixteen year old kid somehow managed to get his hands on at least 426 10 mg pills, 213 20 mg pills, 107 40 mg pills, 71 60 mg pills, or 48 90 mg delayed release capsules without someone noticing. so no. i call BS.

Youth homelessness is a unique subpoulation. They are more likely to find successful intervention, and remain stably housed than the general homeless population. Strikingly, nearly 1 in 10 young adults (18-25), and 1 in 30 youth (13-17) experience some form of homelessness in a given year (Morton et al., 2020). The definition of youth homelessness varies slightly but tends to encompass youth under the age of 25. In Portland, homeless youth are defined as unaccompanied persons 24 and under (Multnomah County, 2021). Accompanied youth receive services according to their familial status, and access different services. A systematic international review of interventions for youth homelessness found the most effective interventions utilize counseling and treatment interventions to improve the mental health of youth. Additionally, a small number of studies saw that case management can improve housing situations for youth (Morton et al. 2020). There were few studies on the effectiveness of housing and outreach programs in reducing youth homelessness. Most research tends to focus on the overall population, despite the unique challenges faced by the youth subpopulation. Despite the lack of research, many programs target this specific group and would benefit from a better understanding of what interventions are the most effective, and should be prioritized for funding. Every peer-reviewed study included in my analysis acknowledges there is very little credible data on the demographics of youth homelessness. A phone survey of unaccompanied homeless youth published in the Journal of Adolescent Health found a higher risk o homelessness among “young parents; black, Hispanic, and lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender (LGBT) youth; and those who did not complete high school” (Morton, 2018). The study which covered urban and rural counties across the united states found a household prevalence of 12.5% for youth 18-25, more than double the rate for youth 13-17 years old. These statistics include both explicit homelessness, as well as those who couch surf. Researchers note that populations not experiencing explicit homelessness are much less likely to be counted in others’ studies. It is difficult to study the effect of psychiatric illness on youth homelessness. Because the onset of congenital psychiatric disorders coincides with the age group being studied it is difficult to separate psychiatric conditions and a cause vs a symptom of homelessness. The increased incidence of psychiatric disorders pre-homelessness calls for greater research into psychiatric illness as a cause of youth homelessness. Childhood adversity has been identified as a major indicator of youth homelessness and is easier to isolate because it has already occurred. Despite the strong correlation between childhood adversity and youth homelessness, there is no significant research into PTSD specifically as a risk factor. More research is required to understand the high rates of psychopathology in youth homelessness (Martjin, 2005). In this study crime was initially one of the variable studies, but it was removed from the analysis because only one participant had committed a crime before becoming homeless. Because crime is a well-recognized symptom of homelessness I am interested to see how a conviction for crimes occurring post-homelessness affects the effectiveness of interventions.
