Making a 5 frame nuc,bee box.

The measurements for this nuc are as followed. The front, back and both ends are made from 15 mm construction ply. The lid is made from 9mm construction ply and 20x40mm pine. The base is also made from 9mm construction ply. The build measurements are, front and rear are 48.5 cm long by 25 cm high. The ends are 18cm wide by 23.5 cm high. The base or floor board is 53.5cm long by 21cm wide. the lid is 51.5 cm long by 21 cm wide. The 40mm by 20mm pine under the lid that sits on the top of the box is 51.5cm long and 17cm for the ends as they fit between the 2 side pieces. The things I didn't add in the diagram are the 2 pieces of ply that close the ends of the box and brings the ends up the the same height as the sides. Both are the same measurement and I generally just use off cuts of the 15 mm construction ply. These double as handles for the box and are 21 cm long by 4cm high. The height isn't important so long as it closes the ends and leaves enough depth to attach them to the end boards that the frames sit on. The only difference between this and a 5 frame swarm trap nuc is the front and rear are 40 cm high while the ends are 38.5 cm high. The entrance hole in the end is made with a 44mm hole saw and fits the queen excluder rounds that I use, perfectly.
