yeah it's mostly just a bunch of losers on Twitter, it's not that much of a thing (it has no real influence in the industry afaict) though they still harass a lot of folks :(
I’m glad it’s not picking up the same cult-like following that g@mergate was, but I’m especially glad that the some of the comics community are taking up against the mealie-wormed posers, especially the men. That sounds messed up, but misogynists don’t listen to women when we object to anything and it’s always nice to have backup.

majalha replied to your post “Why no superhero spouses?”
Agreed. One other thing that bothered me was like the low-key coding of Yukiko as retiring, cutesy Asian chick. The film was funny but I think insidiously pernicious. I think it's really got a lot of problems.
Right? And, how about the “token gays” that were Negasonic and Yukiko? They weren’t utilized for anything except eyecandy until the mid-credit scene and, turns out, they’re super interesting people. Such. Bullshit.

majalha replied to your post “How are people getting addicted to huffing spray paint? It’s not a fun...”
Yeah so I was wondering what prompted this post
Eh, it’s pretty mundane, actually. I spray painted my bathroom countertop in a pretty poorly ventilated bathroom. No window and just the one vent. Counter looks cool, though.

I was tagged by @shadowsartist, thank you!
Tumblr media
Rules: Answer 21 questions and then tag 21 people you want to get to know better.
Nickname: My name’s Holly, so there’s not a lot of options. I’ve had people call me “Holl” and I don’t...hate that.
Zodiac: Gemini
Height: 5′3 (I was 5′2, but got promoted after my hip replacement)
Last movie I saw: Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
Last thing I Googled: Alternatives to apple notebooks
Favourite musician: I like a lot of different artists and it tends to vary based on mood
Song stuck in my head: A hymn, doesn’t matter which one. My dad was whistling it and now it’s just in there.
Other blogs: I’m thewritehag on a few other platforms like PillowFort and dreamwidth
Do I get asks: Nope
Blogs following: I follow 325 blogs and 489 blogs follow me
Amount of sleep: About 8, which is kinda minimal for the weekend
Lucky number: 6
What I’m wearing: Gray jersey-knit nightgown with little witches on it
Dream job: Full-time writer and white hat hacker. One supports the other.
Dream trip: I want to go on a cross-country tour of places that are featured in American Gothic stories or inspired them (that includes Roswell, NM)
Favorite food: Soda
Play any instruments: Not anymore and never very well
Languages: English
Favorite songs: I have a bunch, but right now it’s “Bad Guy” by Set It Off
Random fact: If you want to do a beer wash/treatment on your hair, use a beer that is high in hops. Hops and malt is loaded with protein and is good for follicle strength, as well as volume and shine.
Describe yourself as aesthetic things: My sister recently described me as “rainbow goth” and I love it.
Tagging (approximately) 21 blogs: @scripturient-manipulator, @pinklovesgreen8, @thebibliosphere, @preeeow, @coffeeandcastiel, @brynprocrastinates, @ladyvyola, @jackdoesart, and others. I follow a lot of people and I am really bad at names. I’m sorry.
EDIT: I thought of more people and I would love to see some answers also from @silvercrownedgift, @emberkyrlee, @majalha, @atimeofmagic, @noggin-the-nogg, @rettaroo
