⚔️ // a shuffle of motion , and two white ears caught the eye of the beholder. a child it seemed , and yet still such a curious thing. for it was certainly no human child , and still byleth could nearly sense his great despair. he held it in the twitch of his ears and within the knotting of his shoulders.

"...hello little one," byleth greeted , lifting her hand and waving slight , lips curled upright in a tiny smile she hoped was reassuring. carefully , she knelt to the child's eye line and cocked her head to one side. "you seem troubled.... are you alright?"

*:･ﾟ✧*:･ﾟ✧ FAWN GUESSED SHE SHOULDN'T be all that surprised that humans had libraries. it was a little bit far from where the human kid — sora ? — had told her she was supposed to be staying. but it was well worth it , if only to meet some new animal buddies along the way . . . and now , inside the walls for some safety from the cold , fawn had discovered .... something ELSE that was downright CONFOUNDING.

or maybe she should say someone.

peering behind a large stack of books , fawn watched the funny human-not-human as he looked around and grabbed more books. then , even MORE of them ! it was his face that had caught her eye first , with ears that were definitely leporidae in nature. maybe oryctolagus cuniculus , specifically . hmmmm . yeah , on closer inspection that seemed more correct. maybe he was related to the blanc de hotot ? mm — no he didn't have black spots under his eyes. wasn't a czech white either.

a glitter of gold at the corner of one's eye , and soon enough fawn had crouched even CLOSER behind a plastic pen-holder nearby.
