I was reading *informational* fics (LOL of course) and books and there was a reoccurring scene of someone destroying a note given to them a few seconds after reading it to avoid anyone else seeing it.

And I’m just. I’m thinking I could never do that.

Because my memory likes to play tricks on me where I immediately forget something I read just because.

So if I were to read the note and then throw it in the fire, my brain would be like, “Wait, what did it say again?”

And just completely blank out.

Maybe it’d even play tricks on me where it convinces me the meeting was in the AM when it was really PM.

From now on I’m opening at the store on the other side of town one day a week and i hate it. They’re such a mess and the customers are so rude and they’re SO understaffed (and the staff they do have aren’t trained well), it’s just a shit show
