what a delight studying with @lishunhwn​​

the problem at hand is not that tobias can’t figure out what he’s meant to do. it’s that for some reason, the potion just isn’t turning out as well as he thought it would. and to be quite frank, he knows that it’s not right but just hasn’t figured out exactly which part of the recipe needs to be adjusted so that it would work right.

the tracing potion that is, that he’s going to be using to track down the obscurus. 

he had finished his study for the potions assignment hours ago and with the way shun seemed to be relaxed into the armchair in the corner where he was hidden away, toby figured he had finished a while ago too. both of them now left to their own devices and taken with whatever had caught or soon occupied their attention. 

something about the way shun looks tucked away by himself seems to calm. quiet. undisturbed. 

it wasn’t bad per se. just… tobias definitely thought things could be a little more lively seeing as the night was still young. with that thought, a sly smile immediately makes its way onto his lips as he picks up the small vial of potion that had just finished concocting. the liquid glowing a light blue. it didn’t look too conspicuous in his opinion. 

“hey shunnie boy,” tobias calls out, already making his way towards shun with the vial in hand. “give this a try.”
