#jrestling #finally watched all his Cody matches and god they are EXCELLENT #backlash is my favorite #also watched 2/3 from the edge feud + a lot of his promos for that #hey i had to see the context of the ‘how do you feel about me?’ gif #honestly not that into the matches for that one (i have bad taste and a short attention span) #but the character work he was doing in that feud is sooo excellent #like the way he fixates on a throwaway piece of trash talk from edge #the constant emotional flipping. and of course the gif #also loveee his promo about hell in a cell itself???? #the way he yells ‘look at me’ into the camera like #acknowledge him acknowledge the work he’s put in #please god tell him it was worth it #look at him give him your attention. and maybe then it’ll be enough #my interpretation of his body of work always goes back to the chair shot and to hunter’s influence throughout his entire career
