6.2 thoughts & stuff
J’iro once again got the honor of being my first toon through the latest content.  Spoiler city below the cut!
Okay.  Anyone at Bioware or any Bioware-adjacent companies, if you’re listening or can get this message to them somehow:
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GROGU CAN WE STOP FIGHTING THE SAME TWO GUYS FOR A WHILE?  I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF THE EMPEROR AND DARTH MALGUS TO LAST ME A LIFETIME.  IT’S BEEN 9 FUCKING YEARS.  CAN WE *PLEASE* MOVE ON?!?!?!????
*ahem*
Now that I got that out of the way...
Yeah, I am totally over Tenebrae/Vitiate/Valkorian popping up in Yet Another Goddamn Form Because He’s The Emperor And Fuck You.  All of the cameos at the end of the final-no-really-we-mean-it-this-time fight (Syo!  Suri!  Master Surro!  etc!) were cool, but I’m so done with this guy I all I could think was “oh hey it’s GamemasterAnthony’s Birthday again.”  And killing every form of the Emperor at once felt a lot like the ending of Season 1 of Legends of Tomorrow, when they had to kill Vandal Savage in three time periods to finally get rid of him.  (...maybe that’s not the best analogy, since he popped up again in a later season.   oh fuck now I’ve done it)
As far as other reappearances go:
Revan. I actually said “this motherfucker AGAIN?” out loud when he showed up.  Not quite as tired of him as I am of the Emperor, but let’s give this dude a rest, PLEASE.
DARTH MARR!  One of the few characters I don’t mind seeing pop up again, because he’s always been way too good for everyone around him.
Meetra Surik!  In non-ghost form!  I am down for this.
Vaylin/Thexan.  Mixed reviews on these two.  First impression, “didn’t we settle their shit in KOTET Ch 9?”  Thought it was really nice that you could finally apologize to Vaylin; doesn’t quite make up for how badly she got treated but it’s something.  Seeing Arcann and Thexan fight together was pretty cool.  And of course I took the [Flirt] option with Vaylin.
Satele.  The only one we knew would come back.  Nothing unexpected, I guess, but THANK YOU for not killing her off.
That final fight, when you get all those temporary abilities for your buddies?  I got click-happy and just hit whichever one was off cooldown.  XD  Way too much happening for me to do much other than “take cover, shoot, shoot, Hightail It to get out of shit, repeat.”  I’ll have to take a closer look at the abilities on a later run.
Disregarding my feelings about That Fucking Guy coming back again, the story was pretty good.  The ship that Satele and her students were on was appropriately creepy, and I do like that the Hand and the Scions - possibly the most fanatical of That Fucking Guy’s followers (aside from those poor Zealots stuck on Nathema) - were the ones to find it.  And then we got to trip balls inside Satele’s head!  Another appropriately creepy locale.  Between the ship and the mindscape I spent damn near the whole run waiting for some creepy shit to jump out.  A+ mood, can’t wait to freak myself out again.
The new flashpoint definitely had me hooked (despite the excessive trash mobs) - it’s really too bad that it’s bugged, I want to see how things go with Marshal Kol!  Cool concept, cool layout, cool new character.  A bit of platforming to get your heart rate up, and later an intentional huge drop to REALLY get your heart rate up, and lol I’m a Gunslinger so I’ll just Hightail It away from the tentacles.
The best part about the new stuff?  The visuals.  The look of everything was fucking top-notch.
The creepy-ass ship that had a lot of STUFF in it, crates and supplies and a whole crapton of other things you’d expect in a ship that’s on a journey of indeterminate length.  The members and minions of The Hand, lots of distinctive looks in faces and armor yet still unified.  The overall feeling that something here has gone horribly wrong.
Satele’s mindscape that was its own unique thing, and still had echoes of other places - KOTET Ch 9 of course, but also KOTFE Ch 2, KOTFE Ch 12, and the Raptus & Calphayus fights in Dread Palace.  The stark contrast between the dim rocky landscape and bright memories of Tython.  The creepy mobs.  Lots of places to fall to your death, several times.  Even the little glowing bits (fungi?) felt not quite right.
The ships in the Spirit of Vengeance!  More ships that felt lived-in; lots of supplies and weapons and mobs (even if you have to fight a billion of them.)  Again, a super-cool layout overall.  And I could have spent hours just looking around The Fortune’s Folly!  (To-do for future runs - cheevo hunting!)
Overall, mostly good, and as always I’m eager to see how things turn out with different characters.  J’iro romanced Akaavi, sided with the Republic on Iokath & Ossus, and rejoined the Republic at the end of Onslaught so he’s now Commodore.  It’ll be fun to see how this goes with a Force-user, a Saboteur, an Imperial-aligned toon, a Theron/Lana/Kira/Scourge romancer, etc.

SWTOR Multiple Character Questions
Tagged by @rannadylin about ten years ago (sorry!) Thanks for the tag!
Do you have more Imperial or Republic characters? Republic, but only by a couple characters. I’ve got one of each class and then a Sanna clone (or two three), plus a second smuggler, agent, and inquisitor, none of which are higher than level 20-ish?
Which class do you play as the most? *coughcoughSentinelcough*
Which race do you play as the most? Mirialan (no, I don’t have a problem, you have a problem!)
How many have completed Kotfe/Kotet? So far, just Vassanna. I started running Ellie through it and I stalled out around ch11 of KotFE, and decided to try a DS playthrough with my Eeeeeevil(TM) SI, but I’m halfway through ch 2 KotFE with her.
How many have completed up to Copero? Alas, just Vassanna. (So. Much. Angst.)
Who stayed loyal to their class romance? Everyone so far. Darth Nox was intrigued by Lana, however, and flirted a bit during SOR.
Who started a romance with Lana, Theron or Koth? In case anyone here missed it, Vassanna romanced Theron (though she flirted a bit with Doc for a while).
Who is your oldest (having played the longest) oc? Eli’anara. She’s been around since before the game launched!
Who is your newest? I just finally, after far too long, created Ellie’s Corran in-game. Granted, he’s like, level 5, but he actually exists in-game now!
Who is your favorite? Sanna (don’t tell the others!)
Lemme tag @mjaydziarand , @elveny , and @stephyhimemademe !

So I’ve Finally Seen Some of KOTET...
My thoughts up to Ch.7 of Knights of the Eternal Throne under the cut, so includes some spoilers:
Like my outlander doesn’t want the throne. Can I please give it to like Darth Marr’s ghost or like Darth Acina (who I think is really cool, surprisingly--I didn’t have high thoughts about her after she gave in to the Eternal Empire during the 5 years of carbonite, but when she says she did it to protect her people, my outlander [female sith warrior, light side/practical] could respect her for that). PLEASE DONT SHOEHORN THE STORY BIOWARE. DONT. WANT. IT.
I really have been enjoying Lana and Theron in this story. IMO they have always been the two core characters since Fallen Empire that I’ve legitimately cared about--probably more than the current companions we’ve been able to recruit.
I killed SCORPIO and I feel no pity. 99% chance she’d do the same shit.
My outlander was “betrayed” by Kothe, but I decided to forgive him for the most part. I didn’t think killing him was worth it, as I knew there would be no “gray” option in game. I think Kothe was written badly in Season 1 where you can’t reason with him at all. I’ve spoken to this before, but I think he’s handled better in Season 2.
I really enjoyed the chapter with the party. If that palace is supposed to be our new Zakuul stronghold, sign me up. I liked that we could save the rebels, too.
MY OUTLANDER DOES NOT WANT THE ETERNAL THRONE, THANKS.
I really don’t get what’s going on with Valkorian. I really think he’s been neutered as a villain, but maybe I’ll be proven wrong. I do not give a fuck if there’s any ““good”“ in him. He deserves to be punished for the crimes he committed to the “primary” galaxy. I don’t give a fuck if he was good to Senya at some mythical point. I don’t give a fuck if Senya sees good in him. My outlander wants him out and she wants him destroyed for good.
Also, Vaylin, I kind of pity you at this point. I get the feeling we won’t be able to redeem her like Arcann.
I know that Arcann is a total dick and douchebag in KOTFE, but his complete 180 in KOTET totally caught me off guard and now I totally think he’s hot (also I enjoyed that Thexan cameo, it was in that moment that I felt the most sorry for Vaylin so far). They really did his burn scars well. I hate that I like angsty, broody, bad guys so much.
I mean it's weird cause yeah I like this story, but on the other hand, this story is completely not about our outlander, not really. It's about the dysfunctional space sitcom family. I mean yeah that's star wars, but it's definitely starting to feel like we're Han Solo and we're on the outside watching the drama between Luke, Leia, and Vader unfold. Which I understand, Bioware probably is barely breaking even at this point. But it’s kind of lame.
Did I mention how my OUTLANDER DOES NOT WANT THE ETERNAL THRONE.
According to her codex, Acina and Arcann could have been banging???
My outlander is tired and just wants to rule the Empire as the Empire’s Wrath. Not be the Empress.

Who are your 3 least favorite Swtor companions and why?
heh heh hoo boy. Details behind a cut so people don't have to read me venting about potential faves in a couple cases, but tl;dr is Kaliyo, Skadge, both of whom I strongly dislike, and either Vik or Lana(not nearly as strong).
1.Absolute hands down least favorite is Kaliyo. I legit hate her. She's self-centered, vindictive, and thinks it's funny to ruin people's lives. I literally won't even talk to her any more when I play Agents. She spends the ENTIRE GAME with a little yellow triangle over her head bc I refuse to engage. I did her convos/quest with Jaaide, my first Agent, up til the Anspi'shel thing, then stopped when she wanted to sell Anspi'shel to a life of slavery or worse bc it'd be funny revenge for some not-nearly-deserving of That "transgression". Jaaide wanted to punch her in the face and never spoke another word to her the game didn't make me. I watched her romance on youtube and it did her no favors. AND THEN we get to her presence in KotFE. Making all of Zakuul suffer bc of what their leadership did? Outright terrorism? I wouldn't recruit her ever if you didn't have to. The way I always do ch 12/13 is telling Jorgan to destroy the GEMINI signal and then telling Kaliyo to stay put. Which she ignores, and gets Havoc killed. And then refuses to accept responsibility for it. ("If they're so good, why are they dead?" Hmm, maybe bc you were throwing thermal detonators in an enclosed space????? THAT MIGHT'VE DONE IT) She usually dies there, unless I'm trying to keep the toon 100% light side, and there's a few that got through there before I figured out how you get the option. *Sidenote: makes me love Jorgan even more that he disapproves if you kill her. He can't stand her, is currently furious at her bc she got his team killed, and he still thinks executing her is Too Far for punishment. Honestly, if there was a Jail option like you get for Saresh in KotET, I'd do that instead of killing her. But I'm not letting a vengeful, psychotic anarchist who knows the location of my secret base just LEAVE, and I can't let what she just did go unpunished, so death it is.
2. Skadge is... Skadge. The threatening to shoot you and steal your ship if you don't agree to let him come along? Yeah, all my Hunters were ready to shoot him and dump him in the lava for that alone. BUT I will talk to him for the xp, so he's slightly less hated than Kaliyo. Still kill him in Rusk's alliance alert though /cough
3. Okay so this is a sharp drop off from the other ones. Kaliyo and Skadge I actively dislike/hate, this one is much more.... barely wavering to the negative side of neutral. Vik annoys me and I wish we could have Fuse if he was alive instead. He's selfish, and way too willing to throw away other peoples' lives for his personal gain.
Lana I don't hate, or feel strongly about at all, it's just... between her Developers' Baby plot armor so she doesn't die(like Koth, Theron, and Senya can) or lose anyone important from her life(like Theron can *glares at WFI and JUS*) and her "Whatever you think is Best" attitude, I'm not crazy about her. I don't like Yes Man companions in general(why I like Carver better than Bethany in DA2), so anytime we get someone who's just blindly supportive of the player character they rub me the wrong way. It's more a problem I have with the archetype than her specifically. (Not to mention the numerous things she's a hypocrite about) I don't mind her as a character or roll my eyes and groan when I have to talk with her, and I'm even running her romance on a couple toons(it's AMAZING with a smuggler). She's just not my favorite.
