Alright genshin impact community listen up

I don't like posting rant based stuff anywhere on my social medias but I've seen too many posts and videos about this and I'm kinda sick of it.

the mcyt community, the dream smp community is not ruining the genshin community.

yes some of the people from George's stream were being insensitive but that does not give you a right to talk shit about the entire community.

a lot of people don't know who these characters are or their stories, they don't understand the relationships between different characters. the keaya and venti ship was obviously a joke based on the dnf ship in the mcyt community. yes that joke can go a bit too far sometimes but it's just a joke, they don't know who keaya or venti are so stop dragging everyone who made a joke about it. IT WAS A JOKE.

now making fun of the liyue names was a bad move and they should have put more thought into what they were saying, however a lot of them won't know how to say their names because I sure as hell didn't when I first got the game. if they continue to make fun of names instead of correcting themselves then there's an issue but don't harass people if they genuinely don't know how to say the names of the characters.

also, stop grouping every mcyt/dreamsmp fan together. there will always be toxic people in a community, genshin isn't safe from them either, but they didn't make the community toxic you just want someone to blame all the shit that was already there on. (we all now about kaeluc)

and finally, do not and I mean DO NOT, shit on an artist for creating their versions of what an dsmp character would look like in genshin. they are not replacing characters, they are using existing characters for inspiration for outfits and banner poses for their own renditions of dsmp characters. they are not whitewashing a character, they are not removing a character. they are sharing something that they worked hard on and all the genshin community can do is shit on it and call artists racists. if you do that you are disgusting and are apart of the toxic minority of the fandom.

genshin has been a big help to a lot of people so don't gatekeep it from new players and people intersed in joining because all you will do is drive them away and give the gi community a bad reputation.

so just think about what you're going to say before you spit a load of bullshit
