heartstopper and first kill both scratch different parts of me and we shouldn't pit them against each other <333

#this is a joke but i was just thinking about this #like heartstopper is the soft and (mostly) drama-free media which queer people don't often get to enjoy #that one post about how we consume queer media always waiting for the other show to drop always waiting for the tragedy #but it just doesn't happen. every queer character is simply living their lives with completely supportive #queer and cishet friends that never treat them like they need to be giving more #especially in regards to nick. he's never looked down upon for needing time to figure himself out and it's beautiful #but first kill is such a wonderful example of fun and campy media that we don't get to enjoy #and i mean people that don't get it will probably say it's bad because the special effects aren't perfectly seamless #but it's sooo much fun to watch these unapologetically queer characters (that never even need to apologize) just be #themselves as they go through the motions of being in a horror series #and the tragedy of calliette 😙👌 #because it's not overdone lesbian tragedy #it's not homophobia or being outted or anything like that #and i just love how both shows are so unapologetically queer <333 it makes my heart happy <3 #heartstopper #first kill #txt #cloud talks
