i do think any discussion comparing my chemical romance tours against each other is kinda. weird. like first of all we don't know them. second of all most of us have never even been to a Before Times concert. and third and most importantly. i would see my chem any time any place if i had the option. each tour was Attempting To Do Something on its own an therefore is fundamentally compelling to me whether it was a fully costumed parade performance or some shitty vfw hall in 03 or an intimate dd club show or the cinci show i went to where they were dressed down and it was still top ten moments of my life.

#idk im just thinking out loud here but my chem have always put on a great show. and that greatness has varied based on location/context. #which imo is a good thing!! they are adaptable from warped tour awfulness to festivals all the way to stadiums #and like. theres joy even in dark moments performing was what made music so meaningful to them theyve all said it #like even during dd both ray and gerard were like. if only we could just perform somewhere small under a new name #bc performing was It and that love and passion. to me. has always translated pretty well. #annnyywwayy im just annoyed. does everything ever have to be a constant game of niche comparisons #cant we just talk about the cultural high point my chem are reaching in this moment? that is an interesting chance/difference lmao #my posts
