Incorporating old Victorian Christmas cards with life drawing - 7/12/21

I used coloured fine - liners and coloured pencils for these poses.

Ones on the right are in comic strip like boxes

I used a fine- liner and some colouring pencils again. We are now incorporating Christmas cards and the model into the poses.

I tried to use the same colours from the jellyfish Christmas card when I was using coloured pencils.

I added some leaves to one of the poses and tried to add the petal bonnet too.

So for these poses I tried to add the droopy umbrella with the rain. For the other one I tried to put the egg costume, the puff sleeves and the sock. I used watercolours on the left then went back to the fine-liners on the right.

(I can’t add all the Victorian Christmas cards I drew from since I can only have up 10 images on here. So I just added my favourite ones)

Went back to pencil. Then used fine-liners and markers.

Used markers again but ran out of time on the left.

Adding the red was a bit messy. I like the one on the right. I think I incorporated that Christmas card well.

We finish off with a normal pose without adding the Christmas cards. I used charcoal for this one. Smudged the charcoal for shadowing. But I think it’s a bit rushed since I was the last pose of the lesson.
