Now that we’ve all been here for a few months and are settled, we wanted to start implementing tasks! These are completely unenforced and not mandatory, but they’re great ways to get to know your muse, do some character development, and honestly a great way to pass boredom or to, you know, procrastinate. Below the read more you’ll find some questions: answer them however you please, in paragraphs or simple sentences, just don’t forget to use the tag lcallingtask so that we can check out each others!

If they made a movie about your character their life, what would the title be?: I honestly have absolutely no idea. I’m not creative enough for that...

Food or sex: I would choose food. I could definitely live without the other thing.

Favorite day of the week and why?: I love Wednesdays. It was always the day my mom had off work so it’s always been special to me.

What came first, the chicken or the egg?: Egg. For sure.

Do you prefer hot or cold weather and why?: Hot. I prefer the clothes I can wear in the Summer and when it’s hot.

Describe your first crush: What did the person look like? What was his personality? How did it to have a crush on that person?: He was, and still is, tall, dark and handsome. He was a few years older than me but you would never have guess. He was the kindest person I think Ive ever met. He looked after me when everyone else was being mean.

THE BASICS:

What is your character’s full name?: Josephine Margaret Doherty. Josephine is English form of the French Joséphine, a feminine form of Joseph, which is derived from the Hebrew Yōsēf (God will add, God will increase). Margaret is derived from Latin Margarita, which was from Greek μαργαριτης (margarites) meaning “pearl”.

Does your characters have any nicknames?: She’s called Jo by almost everyone and essentially considers this nickname her actual name. Her immediate family often calls her Josie.

What is the title or label you can describe your character with?: The idealist

Birthday: December 2nd

Nationality: Jo was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland and has a fairly noticeable Belfast accent.

Origin: Her father’s side of the family has lived in Belfast for generations whereas her mother was born in Waterford, the Republic of Ireland. Jo holds both British and Irish citizenship.

Gender: Female, she/her

Sexual Orientation: Pansexual

Relationship Status: Single

Religion: Jo was brought up with the Roman Catholic faith but hasn’t practised or considered herself religious in years.

Occupation: She works as a web developer for a company she actually co-owns with her business partner. Jo absolutely adores her job and could not be happier.

Hair color: Very dark brown, almost black. She used to dye her hair back in the day but hasn’t done so in years.

Guilty pleasures: She generally refuses to feel guilty about the things she likes. Liking early 00s pop music might be considered somewhat embarrassing in some circles but she adores it unashamedly.

Owner/Operator of Behind the Mask Community Theatre

This was nor her first choice.

She knew she had always wanted a career in performing arts, but needed something to fall back on, so she double majored and completed degrees in both Theater Arts and Business.

In the states, she was an Administrative Professional, and would often get told that she was downsizing her talents and should look into bigger and better things than sitting behind a desk day in and day out at a job she wasn’t too thrilled about. After a lot of soul searching and a family trip to London, she fell upon a run down building that was up for sale, and instantly had a vision for what she wanted to turn it into. Throwing every ounce of faith she had into it, she created the theatre, dedicated it to her father whom encouraged her to perform in order to find her own voice, and hopes that it can be a safe haven for the community to express themselves through the performing arts.

This is such a tough question to answer, because I will literally listen to anything. I have favorite country songs, rap songs, even horror-core songs. But if I had to pick a specific genre, it’d probably be a toss up between Rock or what is known as “emo”. OH! and show tunes! Can’t forget about those!

Again this is a tough one, because I love food so much. But if I had to choose one thing to eat for the rest of my life, I’d probably go with pizza since I can change up the different types of pizza and have a variety.

He was a shy, dorky theater geek, like me who had a voice that everyone envied. He was taller than me (who isn’t), and had dark hair, blue eyes, and thick Drew Carey like glasses. He would often be cast as the star in all of our high-school productions. Although he had many talents, he was the nicest guy you could ever encounter. It helped that I had a crush on him when we were in productions together, because the chemistry didn’t need to be faked out, but nothing became of that crush because my dad told me that I couldn’t date until “after I was married.” His name was William.
