Hajime dating Makoto and Nagito becomes "the guy who always has band-aids just in case". It honestly takes a lot of the edge off his self-consciousness for not having a talent, because he feels suuuuper competent when these guys get into situations and he's ready for them.
His reserve course friends are like, "Why is there a tiny fire extinguisher in your bag?" and Hajime just gives them a look as if to say, "You have no idea."

I gotta get messy about some of my favorite Makoto ships now. Give me a minute, lol.
Imagine Makoto is dating Byakuya.
They came together during school; Makoto's perfectly normal but powerfully principled personality appeals to Byakuya despite himself. He stops trying to swat him away, and welcomes his company with less and less frost. It becomes natural to see them together. They start dating, almost matter-of-factly. They're happy.
But Byakuya knows how this ends. There was a time when he had every intention of keeping Makoto at his side for as long as he wanted him there, in his employ or however else, while he did his duty as a Togami and had a lot of heirs, etc. But now, he's been dating Makoto for a while, and he can't ignore the feeling that Makoto is destined for a wholesome, domestic life. A spouse, maybe children of his own. Someone who can give him their attention and heart. Something monogamous.
He breaks up with Makoto. He doesn't tell him that's the reason, but basically he starts to feel like keeping Makoto tied to him is too selfish even for him. (But he spins it in his head to where this was inevitable.) He's cutting Makoto free, and really a Togami shouldn't be dating someone so kind normal anyway.
Then Makoto starts dating Hajime. And Nagito. And Chiaki. At the same time.
And Byakuya realizes that he never asked Makoto how he feels about polyamory.
Now he has to watch as Makoto receives visits to his dorm and is walked to class by people who Byakuya "knows" are more fitting for him. Upperclassmen with genuine smiles, insignificant talents, and open arms. (And the reserve course student, of all things.)
In actuality, whole character arcs took place to get that polycule to where it is now, but to Byakuya, it just looks like Makoto effortlessly found the people who would actually make him happy. And Byakuya could just mope quietly about it, but he's not that selfless; he's rude to Hajime and Nagito, and he legit might perform a hostile takeover of a game company just to "indefinitely postpone" the release of a game Chiaki has been looking forward to. (I'm sure he tells himself he has a different reason for doing this, but his ears absolutely perked up when she mentioned the game in his earshot, and it was a short walk from thinking, "What game is that, anyway?" to "You know, the Togami Corporation might benefit from...")
Chiaki does confront him about this, by the way. He did not expect a confrontation from her, but he gets one, and Hajime is right there with her.
And I'm thinking Chiaki specifically chooses to confront him when Makoto isn't there, because she doesn't want Makoto to feel bad, but as luck would have it, Makoto and Nagito are taking a pleasant walk and they happen upon the confrontation.
Makoto is dismayed that his friends– specifically, his s/o's and his ex boyfriend –are arguing, while Nagito just stands back and watches, trying not to laugh at the petty drama.

You made a post a while back on the Hajime and Makoto being boyfriends and the reserve course students thinking Hajime is going to end up dead sooner or later but in he's also batshit crazy. PLEASE! I need to see more instances of this.
Also works for another post you did with Komahinaegi with Hajime being overly prepared. Imagine if one day Nagito's luck somehow caused a very complex machine to malfunction and everyone is running but Hajime just walks up and deactivate it with ease before it can do serious damage, everyone is confused asf and he's just like "Eh, another thursday." Or him coming in to save Makoto from life threatening situations and shrugging it off with his classmates thinking he's an Ultimate in disguise. Was it dangerous? Yes! Should no sane person attempt to do that? Nope! Would he do it again? Abso-fucking-lutely, no hesitation either!
Ah, thank you for this! Yeah, I love this dynamic for them.
My first thoughts, for this:
A fire or similar disaster befalls the main course building, necessitating an evacuation. Hajime sees that Makoto is missing from his class and runs into the building to find him. The entire school sees a reserve course student run into the flaming main course building and shortly trudge out carrying an injured luckster.
One of Makoto's (or one of his classmates') homework sheets blows away and winds up caught in one of Kazuichi's (unattended) machines. Makoto reaches into the machine to get it out, and his arm ends up stuck, and everyone is like "Oh no, don't move, if that machine does anything right now you might lose an arm. Where's Kazuichi?" Hajime is already pulling olive oil or some similar lubricant out of his backpack with one hand and calling Kazuichi with the other hand. "Kaz? No, shut up, it happened again; you need to get over here and make sure this thing is inactive, before we pull him out. Yes, now! My free period ends in a few minutes and Makoto might lose an arm!" Hangs up and promptly reassures Makoto, "You're not going to lose an arm."
Hajime sees any kind of commotion outside his classroom window and gets up, like, "I have to go." Comes back to class a few minutes later, saying (in the strictly Hinaegi scenario) "False alarm; it was the other one." In the Komahinaegi scenario, his classmates try to guess which of his boyfriends was the problem based on how exasperated he looks.
Hajime has developed an awareness of his surroundings such that he pretty consistently says "Duck," anytime a projectile flies in their vicinity. Makoto's reaction time has not improved quite as much, so about fifty percent of the time it goes like, "Duck." "...Huh?" Whack. Frisbee or ball to the head. Hajime promptly pulls any spare rag or shirt out of his backpack, wets it with his water bottle, and directs Makoto to hold it to his head while he walks him to the clinic. "I'm okay, really." "No, you're going to see Mikan." (Sakakura sends them both a dirty look as they enter the building, which Makoto misses but Hajime doesn't, sending him a dirty look back.) But since Makoto doesn't always duck in time, Hajime takes to just yanking him out of the way of things.
Hajime gets sick and has to spend the day in bed. Makoto visits his room in the morning, to bring him food from the cafeteria and tell him to get well soon, and Hajime hands him a folded note, like, "Give this to Kirigiri. It's her job to cover luck shenanigans today. This should be everything she needs to know." "She will be offended that you think she needs a note." "Give it to her anyway; I'm not taking any chances. And tell Kuwata to take the day off, throwing stuff."
Anytime Hajime is called to the clinic for Makoto, the first word out of his mouth is, "Shoelace?" In fact, he periodically texts Makoto "Shoelace" throughout the day, just in case.
He knows a lot about fire safety. "No, you don't use water on an electrical fire! You don't use that, either! Move over..."
Someone in Hajime's class: Ow, papercut. Who has band-aids? Multpile classmates: Hajime has band-aids.

Lowkey sequel to this post, but:
Hajime's lock screen wallpaper is a picture of himself, Nagito, Makoto, and a few other classmates, from the 77th class's graduation day. His home screen wallpaper is a picture of Nagito looking over Makoto's homework, in which Makoto is sitting across a library table from Hajime (who is behind the camera, unseen, though some of his study materials are in frame) and Nagito is leaning over Makoto's shoulder from behind. Both of them are adorably focused on the task at hand.
Nagito's lock screen wallpaper is a shot of Hajime and Makoto walking through the gates of Hope's Peak, taken from behind. They're turned slightly to face the camera; clearly, he was walking with them at first and let himself lag behind them to take the picture, and he caught them in the exact moment they turned to check why he slowed down. His home screen wallpaper is a blurry picture of what was clearly supposed to be Hajime and Makoto sleeping but instead ended up being Hajime grumpily trying to cover the phone camera with his hand while Makoto starts to wake up in the background.
Makoto's lock screen wallpaper is of his class cheering at one of Hina's races. He took the picture, so he's not in it. (Alternatively, it's of him and Komaru bedecked in Sayaka merch before a concert.) His home screen wallpaper is a picture of Hajime and Nagito, dressed casually for the weekend, holding ice cream cones aloft as a kind of toast. In the foreground, from behind the camera, Makoto's holding his own ice cream cone aloft, too, but it's empty; you can see a motion blur of the ice cream falling from his cone in the moment he took the picture. (Nagito bought him another one.)

A core difference between how I imagine Hinaegi and how I imagine Komaegi is that I think Nagito would be inherently more..."exhibitionistic" (for lack of a better word) about the relationship than Hajime would.
Like, in a hypothetical scenario where either of them has to visit Makoto's class like "Hey, Makoto, you forgot your workbook in my room," Hajime would approach it very discreetly, just shuffling into the room (assuming he's allowed in the Main Course area), quietly finding Makoto, handing him his notebook, telling him he forgot it in his room, probably blushing a little if anyone makes a big deal about it.
Whereas Nagito would walk in saying hi to people, asking them where Makoto is (even though he definitely spotted him when he walked in), and going, "Oh, there you are! You forgot your workbook in my room last night. What terrible luck, right? Oh, sorry, was I being loud?" Just as many tactful ways of announcing to everyone that he's here to see his boyfriend as he can find.
Meanwhile, Makoto returning a forgotten book to either of them would try to be discreet but would draw a ton of attention to himself by accident.
