Partial imitation of the Mohawk is still culturally insensitive casual racism against Native, Indian, or indigenous groups. Even if both sides are not completely cut down leaving hair only in the center.

Fake relationship goals are constantly what everyday people are pressured to want by social media or by the media in general. Even marginalized people who are oppressed by pairings like these are pressured to believe that these images of healthy pairings are real. Even a pair that is casual may still want to be seen like a serious couple. The last black & white image is a pair who wants to be taken seriously, but each of them are microaggressive Asian anti-Black NYC relocaters who are attempting to discredit me, a Black woman, who spoke out about the guys' emotional abuse of me (that includes turning a blind eye to his friends' rape culture disrespect of me, & his own continued appropriation of Black culture). I am confronting toxic pairs like this to remind everyone that settling for images of couples, instead of us lifting up real relationships, is something that can actually contribute to the oppression of vulnerable people.
