Y/N: 2nd year high schooler. That one cool looking quiet kid (according to Sunoo.) In the yearbook club -- partially by the influence of Sana.

Sana: Another yearbook member. Met Y/N in elementary and has been glued to her side since. May have become Twitter famous ?

Sunoo: He bakes so much that you'd think he'd be good at it by now. Met Y/N through Sana and gladly shares all drama within the school to them. ½ fire hazards in the baking club.

Taehyun: Regretfully the yearbook club president. Hides from Sana. a lot. According to him is "the only one who takes photos for yearbook, Sana just tries to convince Y/N to take pictures of Sunghoon and send them to him in a letter"

(Special Chapter) MAiL : Winter Poems

synopsis: it's New year's, and it's been one year since you've mysteriously disappeared from Sunghoons life. Sunghoon takes some time to reflect and look at the New Year's letters you sent him the year previous.

Sunghoons breath trailed off into the air as vapor as he stepped outside. The cold was quick to travel through his veins as he felt his nose redden and his finger tips numb. He was awfully underdressed, but he had hoped you would be outside, waiting for him, like you had said one year ago.

Sunghoon was unsurprised yet somehow still disappointed when you weren't there, holding a stuffed bear like you said you would. He stepped back inside and decided to do the next best thing, which was re-read the letters you sent to him. He found himself doing this more often than he would like to admit.

Hit with the wave of warmth that was his room, he was quick to walk towards the box that held all of his letters. Searching for the letter that had a distinct "Happy New Year's!" sticker on it, Sunghoon couldn't help but find his mind wander. What happened to you, was the main question, but more soon followed. Like if you disappearing on him was entirely his fault or if you stopped writing because you got a boyfriend.

A boyfriend? the thought lingered on Sunghoons mind. It was definitely possible, from the personality you had shown from the letters, you were definitely likeable. Not to mention Sunghoon was charmed by you himself, though he'd never admit it.

Finally locating the letter, he opened the purple paper with care. Laying on his bed, he pulled his knees to his chest as he absorbed every word written on the paper

Dear Sunghoon,

Happy New Year's! Wishing you all the best. I bought you a gift but I was too scared to give it too you.. maybe next year I'll be at your front door with a stuffed bear. But for now I'll just keep sending letters your way.

A cousin of mine visited recently for Christmas, and I'm glad that she's still doing well! You probably have some cousins, right? If not family gatherings for the holidays must be a bore </3.

The second semester of our last year of middle school is upcoming, I hope you're ready! Personally school has been off of my mind as of late, it's probably a similar story for you, no?

I've also been watching the Hunger Games quite a bit, I managed to get all of the movies for just 10$!! Movies have always been a favorite of mine, not to mention all of the work put into them is admirable.

All in all, i hope you have a wonderful year, and maybe you'll finally learn who I am. I can't promise, but I am trying to break out of my shell and met new people.

Sunghoon stared at the last sentence longer than he expected. Meeting new people? He was happy for you, assuming that you already have a solid group of friends considering that it's been a year. Maybe one of those friends became a significant other? A knot slowly formed in Sunghoons stomach as he considered the possiblity more and more.

He shook off the feeling, you were someone that he didn't know outside of these letters, he shouldn't care. He should be downstairs eating dinner with his family. Speaking of which, he heard his mom calling for him. But even as his family talked about New Years resolutions and what it might be like, all Sunghoon could daydream about was what you could look like. Along with the occasional fantasy of how seeing you for the first time would be like.

(16) MAiL : Honest?

You haven't sent Sunghoon a letter of admiration in two years, thinking that he didn't care much about it. Little do you know, it's quite the opposite. But Sunghoon might not be waiting for a letter for much longer if your love for him sparks up once again. (spoiler: it does)

You fiddled with your tote bag, of which was filled with your typical stationary for writing letters for Sunghoon. You decided last minute to write your weekly letter at the Kang residence, remembering how difficult it was to find the words to tell Sunghoon the last time you wrote him a letter.

You didn't dare look at Jungwon, which was especially difficult since he was close to the cashier, meaning you would have to walk up there at some point. But that was an issue you would deal with later on. You leaned against the wall next to the door, opting to look through the window, your eyes gleaming when you saw the familiar figures of Taehyun Sunoo and Sana.

Finally hearing the door swing open, relief overwhelmed you. With Jungwons constant glances and whatever was happening on Twitter, you were ready to leave the bakery. Taehyun was quick to wrap a comforting arm around your waist, his other arm reaching to grab Sana to stop her from barking at the cashier.

Unfortunately, Taehyun was unable to stop Sunoo from approaching Jungwon, who was sitting a bit farther away from his friends thanks to the work of Heeseung (he didn't want to be seen with Jungwon in his current state).

Sunoo however had different intentions than one would think. The conversation that transpired between the two boys started off livid, but within a minute Jungwon walked up to his friends, notifying them before leaving with Sunoo. A grimace never left his face as he left the bakery, the bells ringing as the duo left.

Sana was quick to notice, "Hey I'm gonna go outside, this place smells like shit" with you and Taehyun nodding in acknowledgement, Sana followed after Jungwon and Sunoo. Taehyuns arm left your waist as he pointed at the register. "Our food is ready, do you want me to get it for you?" you cleared your throat, your confidence growing now that Jungwon left. "It's okay, I'll get it myself"

Walking up to the worker that held your food, you tried forgetting who was less than ten feet away from you as you checked to see if everything was in the bag. At least you tried to.

You felt something slip from your shoulder and instantly you felt regret of ever coming to the bakery surge through your veins. The damage wasn't large, but it was still there. Some of the stationary you always used to write letters to Sunghoon had spilled from your open tote bag. Luckily, Taehyun was quick to come to your aid. As you cleaned up the small mess that had been made, you were glad he was here.

Actually, he was always there. Taehyun was there for you through thick and thin, and Sana always joked about how you were closer to him than her. He was always a shoulder to cry on, for everyone in your small friend group. He really glued the five of you together.

"Thanks Taehyun" looking up, you made eye contact with Taehyun. Except it wasn't Taehyun. You met eyes with none other than Heeseung, who was staring at you with wide eyes.

Please tell me he didn't figure it out

Clearing your throat, you stood up, Heeseung soon following. "I didn't know you were into writing, why all purple material?" Heeseung shifted his weight from foot to foot. Oh, he definitely knew. "Just a color I like" You grabbed the bag of food, glancing over at Taehyun to find him on his phone. Maybe you should take back that comment about him being with you through thick and thin.

You debated on whether or not to confirm what Heeseung already knows. You were just lying to Sunghoon because you wanted to stay anonymous, but the cat was practically leaping out of the bag at this point. Might as well, right?

"And, I'm actually the one writing letters to Sunghoon" it felt so wrong to admit something in public, especially with Sunghoon in such close proximity. It was a stretch to consider your volume a loud whisper, but Heeseung seemed to hear it as if you were shouting.

"Honest?" Heeseung glanced at the stationary peeking out of your tote bag once more to make sure, and there was no doubt. It was the exact paper, envelope, and pen that Sunghoon had shown him more times than he could count. "Yeah, please don't tell him" you looked at him, desperation evident in your eyes. Heeseung can know, hell Jungwon could know, anyone but Sunghoon.

Heeseung understood your situation, you had been anonymous for so long after all. Nodding his head in understanding, he returned to his group of friends, using the excuse that you had dropped some napkins.

When you finally returned to Taehyun, you scolded him for leaving you behind as Jungwon re-entered the cafe. Leaving the bakery with Taehyun, you were met with Sana and Sunoo smiling like proud fools. Choosing not to question the two, you walked to the Kang residence, the events that occured with Heeseung would be brought up at a later time. For now, you had a letter to write.
