I played two sessions of the new solo mode for Kanban EV. I'll sum up my first impressions in one word: brilliant! If you've enjoyed David Turczi's other solo designs you'll feel right at home here. You play a modified three player game against two AI opponents named Mr. Lacerda and Mr. Turczi. When they score points they instead take points from you. If you end the week, or a meeting, with negative points you lose immediately. The AI is controlled by drawing cards from two decks. The system is very elegant once you wrap your head around it. Love it. I should add: I lost both games fairly quickly, so I might be scoring something wrong.
