A Comprehensive Overview about Fertility Treatment in Odisha
In India's east coast state of Odisha, demand for fertility treatment is rising as community culture evolves and consumer awareness of reproductive health increases. Fertility treatment involves a variety of medical procedures designed to help couples experiencing problems conceiving. The state performs well in the field of birth control, with many specialized clinics and hospitals offering advanced fertility services.
Odisha has made great progress in fertility treatment in recent years, thanks to advancements in technology and a large number of specialist doctors. Treatments include in vitro fertilization (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), intrauterine insemination (IUI), and induction of ovulation, among others. These treatments address many infertility issues, whether caused by male or female factors or unexplained.
IVF is still one of the most popular procedures. It affects the eggs coming from the ovaries, fertilizes them with sperm in the laboratory, and then transfers the resulting embryos to the uterus. This method gives hope to many couples experiencing infertility problems. ICSI is a modification of IVF that involves injecting a single sperm directly into the egg and is especially useful for infertile men.  Fertility Clinics and Hospitals
Odisha is home to many fertility clinics and hospitals equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and staffed by professionals. Major institutions include Bhubaneswar Medical Center and SUM Hospital, Apollo Hospital and Kalinga Hospital. These centers provide fertility services from initial consultation and diagnosis to advanced treatment and follow-up care.
Due to the expertise of doctors and availability of advanced medical equipment, the success rate of fertility treatment in Odisha is comparable to national and international standards. However, the success rate may vary depending on many factors, including the woman's age, the specific fertility problem being treated, and the quality of the clinic.
Tumblr media
With continuous advancement in medical technology and reproductive health awareness, the future of fertility treatment in Odisha is bright. Collaboration between government, the private sector, and non-governmental organizations is important to increase the accessibility and affordability of fertility treatment.
In summary, fertility treatment in Odisha has developed rapidly, giving new hopes to many couples who are struggling to conceive a child. The state is set to become the center of anti-aging medicine in the region with the support of state-of-the-art medical facilities, experts and government officials. But we need to work harder to overcome current challenges and ensure that these life-changing treatments are available to everyone who needs them.

Puri - 1
|| Om Namo Narayanaya ||
Let us begin our blog on the wonderful secrets of temples with a few posts on the renowned temple of Sri Jagannath at Puri, Odisha. Also known as Purushottama Kshetra, this temple is a must visit for all devotees of Lord Krishna as well as architecture lovers. In this series we would cover facts about 1. Architectural features 2. Lesser-known secrets of the temple 3. Puranic history 4. The popular Mahaprasadam
Tumblr media
Firstly, let us see some of the salient architectural features of this gigantic temple. Puri Jagannath temple is built in the Kalinga style. The present temple dates back to the 12th century. There is a huge Vimāna (Gopuram) over the main sanctum, about 65 m high. Atop the Vimāna stands a majestic Chakra, known as Nīlachakra. The Nīlachakra is 3.5 m tall, with 8 spokes on its outer surface facing upwards. It is made of an alloy of 8 metals.
Tumblr media
The temple is fortified by 2 enclosures, known as prākāras which have more than 50 major and minor shrines in them. The walls are filled with magnificent stone carvings and geometrical patterns. There are 4 entrances to the temple, named after the life-size sculptures of animals that guard them. 1. East - Singha (Lion) Dwar 2. South - Ashwa (Horse) Dwar 3. West - Vyaghra (Tiger) Dwar 4. North - Hasti (Elephant) Dwar
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The most crowded of all the entrances is the Singha Dwar. There is a tall pillar in front of it where people light lamps and pray. It is the Aruna Stambha, named after the charioteer of Surya Narayana. It was carved from a single chlorite stone and is 33.5 feet tall. It was brought from Konark along with the deity of Surya Narayana during the 18th century. The deity is placed in one of the shrines of the temple. (More information about Konark would come soon)
Tumblr media
As soon as we enter the Lion Gate, to the left, there is a small deity of Hanuman named 'Fateh Hanuman'. Fateh means Siddhi, or ability, and Hanuman is named so because he gives us permission and ability to have the most divine Darshan of Jagannath. Towards the right is a deity of Sugriva along with a fierce Narasimha Swami. He is interestingly known as "Narasimha Swami who has 22 hands but is present in a space smaller than a hand"
Tumblr media
However, the most striking feature is the huge deity of Jagannath. Is he the main deity? If not, then what is the story behind his presence in the eastern gate? We shall get to know all these in the next post. Until then,
|| Jai Jagannath ||

Spiritual Oasis: Discovering the Timeless Charm of Jagannath Temple
Tumblr media
The popular Jagannath Temple in Puri holds great significance for believers. In addition to being one of India’s Char Dham pilgrimage sites, it is well-known for the yearly Rath Yatra or chariot festival. Jagannath Temple is distinguished by its exquisite architecture and remarkable Niraakara (shapeless) idols. Despite its mystique, thousands of worshippers travel from all over the world to this shrine. In this article, we are exploring this respected temple complex’s rich history, intriguing mythology, stunning architecture, and spiritual significance. So, book the best business class flights to India from USA and come along with us to discover the Timeless Charm of Jagannath Temple.
History of Jagannath Temple
Over a millennium of history precedes the Jagannath Temple, with records of its existence extending back to the 12th century. Building records indicate that it was constructed in the twelfth century, under the reign of Eastern Ganga dynasty monarch Anantavarman Chodaganga Deva. An entirely new era in the religious and cultural panorama of the area began with the construction of the temple.
The temple is unique because of its connection to Lord Jagannath, a manifestation of Lord Vishnu. Huge wooden statues are used to portray Jagannath, who is well-known for having an odd and mysterious shape. The main idols of Lord Jagannath are remade every twelve to nineteen years from neem wood, together with his brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra. This activity forms a significant portion of the temple’s traditions.
Divine Figures of Jagannath Temple in Puri
At the Jagannath temple, you may see Lord Krishna, his sister Subhadra, and his brother Balarama. They’re all made from daru or neem wood. You can also find smaller carvings of the earth goddess Viswadhatri, the form of Lord Krishna known as Madanmohan, the ethereal discus, and the wife of Lord Vishnu, Sridevi. The trio of main deities are arranged on a pedestal called the “Ratnabedi.”
The idols are decked out in regal clothing, diamonds, and beautiful paintings. The gods were worshipped long before the Jagannath temple of today was built. You will notice that the eyes of Lord Krishna are big and dazzling, unlike the eyes of Balarama and Subhadra, which are like the eyes of an ordinary person. It is thought that the Lord can see every one of his disciples with wide eyes. This is the form of Jagannath called “Chakadola,” the one with big eyes. Furthermore, make sure to browse Flyopedia to book cheap flight tickets to India from USA.
Architecture of the Temple
The Jagannath temple was constructed in the well-known Kalinga architectural style, which is prevalent throughout Odisha and all of India. The temple occupies a sizable 37,000 square meter space. The statues and its curved structure are located in the main sanctum sanctorum. The Neelachakra is located at the summit of the temple’s main dome, which is built like a pyramid. This is an ethereal wheel with eight spikes composed of eight different metal combinations. Surprisingly, the wheel will always face you, regardless of where you look at it. In addition, there’s a flag next to the wheel that constantly flies against the wind!
There are 120 temples and shrines in the inner temple complex. In addition to the main sanctum sanctorum, or Garbhagriha, you may witness the offering hall, Natamandapa, or dancing hall, and Mukhashala, or front porch. The temple rises to a height of 210 feet and is constructed on a stone platform. The wall enclosing the inner complex is called the kurma bedha. The whole compound of the temple is surrounded by the Meghanada Pacheri, an outer wall that is twenty feet high. The Jagannath temple is the tallest in Odisha and among the highest temples in the world!
Temple Timings and Entry Tickets
There is no charge for ordinary admission to the Jagannath temple. However, on specific days of the festival, the temple administration charges INR 10 to each person for darshan. With the special darshan, you can pray in private and in solitude to Lord Jagannath for blessings. This ticket costs INR 100 for each individual. Also, you can visit Flyopedia.ca to grab the cheapest flights from Canada to India.
Jagannath Temple’s Rath Yatra
Known by various names, including Rath Yatra or Rath Jatra, it is one of the largest chariot festivals in the nation. It usually occurs on the second day of the lunar calendar month of Ashada in June or July.
Lord Jagannath, Lord Balarama, and Goddess Subhadra are escorted out and given a chariot ride, or rath yatra, after departing from their shrine. People travel from all around to witness Lord Jagannath’s beautiful appearance during a week-long event dedicated to his meeting with his devotees.
The chariots are made of wood from traditional woods like dhausa and phassi. The carpenters, who have been making chariots for generations, believe it is their inheritance to serve the Lord.
The Sudarshan chakra is carried by the gods as they make their way from the Jagannath shrine to the Gundicha temple. They leave and return to Jagannath Puri, their home, after a week. On the way back, they stop at the aunt’s house, the Maa Mausi shrine, where they are served Poda Pitha, a pancake made with rice flour. It appears as though they set off on a journey, stopped to greet their aunt, and then returned to their home.
Thus, grab last minute flight deals to India from USA with Flyopedia, plan a trip to Jagannath Temple, and enjoy the peaceful tunes and inspiring chants of the “Lord of the Universe.”

12 Years Of Pall Of Gloom Lifted: East Bengal Win A Spine-chiller To Take Home Kalinga Super Cup
Tumblr media
Kalinga Super Cup: East Bengal end 12 years of hurt, as they won their first silverware in as many years, defeating Odisha FC 3-2 after extra time at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, in the final of the Kalinga Super Cup, on Sunday. In a nail-biting finish that saw fortunes swing from one end to another for 120 minutes, both teams were reduced to 10 men at one point in time, but they fought like warriors till the end. If East Bengal had the last laugh, then home side Odisha FC would long be remembered for their indomitable spirit to battle it out till the end. The last time the Red and Golds won a major title at the national level was back in the 2012 Federation Cup, when they beat Dempo SC 3-2 after extra time at the Kanchenjunga Stadium in Siliguri. It was a game of two halves, as Odisha took the lead through Diego Mauricio in the first half before Nandha Kumar’s strike and Saul Crespo’s penalty swung the pendulum East Bengal’s way. Odisha centre-back Mourtada Fall was also sent off for a second bookable offence, putting the advantage squarely at East Bengal’s feet. However, Odisha clawed back deep into injury time with an Ahmed Jahouh penalty before East Bengal midfielder Souvik Chakrabarti was given his marching orders in extra time. Cleiton Silva, however, made sure that none of that counted in the end, as he capitalised on a defensive error to score the winner. Despite trials and tribulations about football being a team game, one truth remains in the Kalinga Super Cup – you stop Ahmed Jahouh, and you stop Odisha FC. Souvik Chakrabarti, the man tasked with marking the Moroccan knew it, East Bengal head coach Carles Cuedrat knew it, the 10,121 fans at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar knew it. Odisha took the lead when Ahmed Jahouh sent in an accurate aerial ball from the half-way line into the East Bengal box, where Roy Krishna got into a duel with Borja Gonzalez. While the Odisha attacker lost the fight for the ball, his teammate Diego Mauricio was on hand to pounce on the ball and slam it home, minutes before the half-time break. East Bengal, however, were not to give in without a fight. Defender Lal Chungnunga and winger Mahesh Naorem, the two returnees from national team duty, replacing Mandar Rao Dessai and Javier Siverio, respectively. This gave a new dimension to the East Bengal attack, as the width that Mahesh provided the Red and Golds down the left allowed Nandha Kumar to drift into the centre from the right, a combination that worked wonders for them. Minutes after the restart, Mahesh was able to thread a ball through to Nandha behind the Odisha defence, as the latter rounded Odisha keeper Lalthuammawia Ralte and slotted home the equaliser. The momentum was firmly in East Bengal’s favour, and unlike their hosts, the Red and Golds capitalised on it. A penalty shout and 10 minutes later, East Bengal were finally rewarded for their second penalty appeal after Cleiton was brought down by Mourtada Fall, who was booked for his indiscretion. Saul Crespo sent Lalthuammawia the wrong way, putting the Kolkata giants on top. Odisha were to fall further, as their Senegalese centre-back received his second booking just five minutes after the previous one, this time for an elbow on Borja Gonzalez. Fall had to prematurely march off the field, leaving his side down to 10 men and Odisha’s best player, Jahouh, covering for him as a makeshift centre-back. Despite going down to 10 men, the Juggernauts left it till deep in injury time for Mauricio to break free behind the East Bengal defence, as he went tumbling to the earth at the slightest hint of a touch from an onrushing Gill. Jahouh, who was man-marked throughout the game, stepped up for his retribution. Unlike the rest of the game, he had ample time to see which way Gill would leap, and he lazily chipped it in through the centre. We would need another 30 minutes to decide this. As the two sides had to dig deep for the extra 30 minutes, Chakrabarti, who had been brilliant throughout the night, committed his second bookable offence, cancelling out his side’s numerical advantage. More importantly, in the context of the midfield battle, however, Jahouh was now unmarked, with more space and time. The Red and Golds showed more desire when it mattered, however. Six minutes into the second half of extra time, Cleiton pounced on a pass by Lalthuammawia to Narender Gahlot, as the latter was unsuccessful in controlling the ball. The East Bengal captain, although faced with an empty goal, did well to score from a tight angle. Read the full article

We tend to keep every aspect of architecture in mind, whether its a meticulously detailed corner or a sheerly marveling layout of an element in the entire frame.
As one of the well-known architects in Bhubaneswar, we have envisioned delivering projects that draw out inspiration in minds. While our projects are designed to be unmatched, we make effort to keep our work creatively unique, practical, and economical rounding about the social, economic, environmental, and aesthetic issues relevant to each project. We always welcome new insights that can lead to specific innovative solutions. Being industrious is one thing, but striving to exceed the expectations of our clients is what we actually aim and for which, we pour our years of experience in the domain along with a team of dedicated, hard-working personnel in full swing in an intense environment.
Apart from being prominently dedicated to architecture, we also provide a wide range of other associated services such as planning, designing, and consulting in interior design, landscape planning, furniture, wardrobe, floor planning, leisure and lounge space, gardening, outdoor complexes, and many more. KW Design Studio focuses to leave no space untouched. We always strive to adapt a new project in unique different manners in order to not only achieve novelty and brilliance but to always restore the balance between functionality & aesthetics, context, climate, material, cost & time frame.
Our city is rapidly progressing as the new hub for transformational and awe-inspiring architecture. The architects of Bhubaneswar have not only embraced cutting-edge modernity, but also exert to safeguard and perpetuate the unrivaled architectonics that have been imprinted deep in our cultures, in our monuments, and in our very own civilization. Because what is design if not the memory of our existence, the fuel of our civilization, and the integrity of our future!
