sorry to be a hater in the first degree but fake country music fans are so fucking annoying. you’ll trip over yourselves disavowing most country music, saying you only like the “good” stuff, and then get all excited when your milquetoast pop fave says they’re recording a “””country””” album. give me a break. maybe listen to “all the cool girls” by hailey whitters to put some shit in perspective.

Day 122: Sunday May 2, 2021 - “Zoom Baby Shower”

We nested up in the nursery to connect on Zoom with family brought together by my Mom for a zoom shower.  Aunts and Cousins got together to play some shower games, and open some presents with us, and hear about our stories and our plans for baby to be born.  We soaked in some good advice about going slow and enjoying every day from some great women in my life that have all gone there before and had it turn out ok.

I don’t have much experience with baby showers, but this was fun.  It was really great to see friendly family faces, some I havent seen in too long.  We played the guess the diaper game, and guessed the number of flights the baby has been on.  Riley got the dirty diaper scratch off and we got some really really awesome presents.   Just some all around really positive energy laid out in our nursery and we were both so grateful to have the time today for a really well done virtual shower!  Way to go Mom!

Favorite Food: Chicken (fried, grilled, barbecued, nuggets, tenders, etc. I’m a simple girl. I see chicken. I eat it.) 

(Honorable mention: there’s a garlic shrimp pasta dish at O’Charley’s that I get every time that’s the bomb. It’s shrimp scampi with garlic sauce, breadcrumbs, crushed tomato, and parmesan cheese - DELICIOUS)

Instruments: Tried my hand at playing the keyboard and harmonica but I mainly just screwed around with them. Taught myself back in the day how to play the opening chords to “Free Fallin’” on the keyboard though! 

Favorite Song: Too many great ones out there for me to pick but when I was a kid it was “White Flag” by Dido. Still holds up today!
